The other thing that confuses me about all the bank branches is the fact that there is so little need to relocate your home branch. I have not lived in Guelph since 1993 yet its still my home branch. I have not set foot in there for almost 20 years as there has not been a need.

I will chime in, I really wish that Citiplace did a better job with their retail. As always, the retail space is an afterthought to the condo. There could be a real chance there but I think that it will be isolated and really only attractive to retailers that can live of the Citiplace residents

Sports Experts is a franchised banner....so is Intersport Dick's are well over 50,000sf where I have seen them, i.e. Buffalo. The largest SportChek would probably be 30,000 or so.

With tenant's like Bad Boy and a buffet, you have to wonder why they went through the effort of tearing down the Bay. Bad Boy would have been just as well off in a the old Bay store. RioCan does some weird things sometimes.

Canadians love value. This is why chains like Winners thrive and department stores like the Bay and Sears pale in comparison to Macy's, L&T, etc in the US. In terms of the Yorkdale expansion, I imagine a Holts enlargement is in the cards. Apple desperately needs to expand, they could double that store easily. Its so busy now I believe they are probably losing sales.
