    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

At this point I can’t tell if they select for a lack of strategic thinking or if it’s on the job training.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I personally love cycling past all the single mothers of colour who starve their children because they're stuck in traffic for my elitist benefit.

I say let Fordlandia continue to think driving an Escalade to eat pancakes at that one restaurant is culture.
  4. T

    St Lawrence Market

Unsurprising. People seem to think being frustrated by traffic is an excuse to drive recklessly. Ultimately, drivers end up hurting others and they are protected, so the incentive to think about others is low. Also, everyone that lives south of Esplanade drives like an insane person - don't...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I’m starting to think most people that make decisions for the city don’t actually live or do anything in the City.

Makes you wonder if anyone actually takes pride in their work.

But there is a line there with @afransen's mindful wandering ...there was a time in the 70s, when it was possible to kids to run a Cycle-thon at Warden and Ellesmere: This culturally, would never be allowed to happen now.

You'd need a pretty strong death impulse to live in Liberty Village. So choosing to suffer through traffic fits the profile. Jokes aside, once people buy a car, the perceived marginal cost and time associated with choosing transit starts to increase. We own a car downtown and it is a conscious...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Telling y'all someone here feels the need to defend anyone with a car who lives in the suburbs.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

where there is a Toronto driver, there is a way Or as some would have me say: where there is a precious, well-to-do, heart of gold, just trying to make ends meet suburbanite driver, there is a way

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Agreed, the fact that we are net down a rapid transit line on his watch is enough to turf the guy.

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Yes, we get it: the IQs of Torontonians are so low, we can only ever build subways. Billions more because your average Torontonian is less talented than a monkey in a clown car.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Don’t bother. Turbanplanner is basically a burnt out urbanist who is convinced their transition to suburban car lifestyle is primo and will never change unless we are Asia. Also believes anyone suggesting otherwise is an elitist.

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

And they got those things. Why they’re now entitled to a quick commute is beyond me. But NA is so car and suburb brained, it’s a lost cause. I find it funny we default to kids in cities are perceived to be less fortunate in their upbringing.
  15. T

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

We already lost 1 out of 4 lines and they still can't manage the remaining 3 properly. The TTC could regress back down to Union to Eglinton and still they'd find a way to close it on weekends and have service interruptions. Lost cause agency.

    Toronto Toronto | Time and Space Condos | 101.8m | 29s | Pemberton | Wallman Architects

Any news about what is moving into the retail spaces?
  17. T

    St Lawrence Market

Any news if anything is moving into the Time and Space building? Is it another dentist and nail salon? Maybe a combo?
  18. T

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

While delaying transit to the point where it is unreliable and unusable. I feel like people here either have cars, don't go outside anymore or have a lot of time to spare. Perhaps bike in the summer, which to me is the wrong mode shift we want (transit to bikes, while people stay in their cars)...

I think consumers have power. Uber drivers probably think their customers hate cyclists too. Consumers need to communicate clearly their expectations.

Hey - can you all tell your Uber drivers not to park in the bike lanes on Sherbourne. Thanks.
