Sorry, thought I was looking down from the north end, where there isn't that much junk. Loving the big setback from the sidewalk. Gonna feel a lot less cramped.

Thanks for the pix. Though the first one looks out of date.

Looks like they decided to make the top for all 3 buildings the same. In the rendering, the top of one building is like a square bottle opener.

I realized that. They're almost half done. The half that isn't done has more trees.

Just drove by the park. Looks like another Ontario/Canada Square. Quite ho-hum.

I sneaked in to get a firsthand look at the retail area between the towers. They are using Unilock stone blocks for everything (sidewalks, road, etc.). No concrete or asphalt. It looks quite nice. I find the width of the I believe is the parking area to be quite wide. It is more than enough even...

I did a shot by shot comparison of 42's pix with the fly-by video on the Westlake website, and the video turns out to be quite accurate. The big different is that the video has the glass being clear and transparent, whereas in reality, we are getting darker ones.

Thanks 42. I'm liking this project more and more.

WL's towers are mediocre I admit, but I really like the podium/retail area. Nice combination of brick and glass. You don't see too many like this in a urban condo. I have high hopes that the retail "avenue" will turn out great. It looks wide enough anyways.

Sweet. Hope they also have some nice light feature for the 3 buildings.

Did they paint the balconies? Some are more noticeably whiter than others.

From what I've been reading, the one thing people seem to be complaining about the area is the lack of retail and restaurants. And Westlake is incorporating them in their development quite nicely, IMO. The Shops at Don Mills appear to be a hit. I guess you can't please everyone...

New video on the Westlake website. It is quite an accurate visual of the development. http://livingwestlake.com/#/Home

Wondering if they're gonna paint the "cheese".

But exactly how many years though? lol Construction is to start in 2016 at the earliest (but we all know that won't happen), takes who knows how many years for it to be completed, and wait for the area to mature with the right mix of retail. So 2022?
