just curious if anybody visited the showroom on the weekend to share their thoughts. Is the place all locked up? have they started emptying out the space?

Not sure how new this is, but the sign on the building calls for a 30-storey tower (down from 37) along with a 2nd tower at 19-storeys and a 6-storey building on the corner of church and shutter... the website lancercorp.ca stills shows the older version. any further updates on this?

I think it would be nice to have the first post in the thread dedicated for project information (height, developper, location etc...). At the very least, the title should be amended to include such info, rather than having to search to find out how many storeys are proposed.

Also proposed is a 7 or 8-storey podium running from King to Colbourne on Church.. probably the same height as adjacent Albany Club and surrounding buildings.

I have to disagree with you, again. The stats page you provide is for the overall toronto region for hotels that include economy, mid-rate and first-class properties in their survey. What you should be concerned with stats for downtown Toronto in the luxury segment. That is where Toronto lags...

what are you basing your judgment on? from all indications, Revpar has been on the rise, and so has room demand. Keep in mind that Downtown Toronto has been underserved for so many years. I say it's about time more rooms are added to the inventory.

There is work happening at the 1 king west retail spot. Is Starbucks still moving in, as previously suggested?

i've tried st louis early this week at Atrium on Bay.. while decent, I will be going back to Duff's next time around.

I will be in the pantages tower, not Opus. Location is really hard to beat, across the street from both Eaton Center and TLS and subway station. it's between Yorkville and the CBD. plus, the view is amazing, as i picked a south-facing high-floor unit.

its final... I will be moving in to the Pantages... thanks everyone for your comments. and yes, the unit is south facing, which gives me a great view of the Bay-adelaide and trump developments.

Ok.. so there is definitely something happening here. I heard rumours of an 8 storey condo, with setbacks, and they are preparing for community consultations.

haha.. I know, but I offered and they declined. I'm gonna have to renegotiate for that one.
