Hmmm. So Lisi's lawyers are concerned about the impact of the new ITO on his right to a fair trial. Interesting... what does the new one, which I thought was focused on the second crack video, have to do with Lisi?

I don't think so, because he's still running for office. Edit: Oh, you mean if he wasn't running even for council anymore? I think the test would still be met because the material relates to his activities while he was mayor.

I thought it was something he openly acknowledged. I've certainly discussed (well, argued on twitter) it with him before.

I think Justice Nordheimer has to meet with the parties in Court tomorrow first before they're released.

Thank goodness for that. I bet he'd still get the highest number of votes, even if they ended up not counting in the end.

He'll win even if he's 6 feet under.

Seriously! Casita - are you the dude that always wins at Trivial Pursuit and knows every answer on Jeopardy?

    Rob Ford's Toronto

No, it doesn't apply to the rest of us. We are not elected officials. And if I did not feel I could not do my job properly, I wouldn't do it. In my line of work I have a responsibility to my clients. If I cannot put 100% into their cases, I step aside. Period. The same should apply to...

It's not just like any of us returning to work. There is an entire ward of citizens who rely on their councillor to take care of things that directly affect their lives. It's selfish and irresponsible for him to stay in the race when he doesn't know if he can serve his citizens or not. I read...

    Ain't that the truth. *shudder*

I'm citing the doctor who, quite frankly, I find more credible than you.
  13. W

    Rob Ford's Toronto

No he didn't. He said no other biopsies only. Many years ago when I was in hospital with a serious health scare they did tests on this that and the other and I had no damn clue what was what. Not to mention he's high on pain meds. I'm not saying skepticism isn't warranted - clearly it is - but I...

The first I'd ever heard of that was from this Dr last week. I've never heard that from Ford himself. Edit: I see that Globe article now - oh dear! Sounds like he does have some explaining to do...

One article I saw quoted (sorry, in the twitterstorm I'm not sure where) said a 39% survival rate for his particular type. And it's apparently worse in the abdomen than in the limbs, which is the other place it's usually found.

Agreed. Which is why I think calling it fat ass cancer is inappropriate.
  17. W

    Rob Ford's Toronto

C'mon, guys. The doctor said very clearly - and other doctors have already confirmed - that there are no lifestyle risk factors with this kind of cancer.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

I don't think that's fair. It sounds like he's been poked and prodded for days and probably hasn't understood a lot of what's going on. We don't know what other tests have been done, and there may very well have been something done involving the throat/chest - a scope, perhaps - that left him...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Because his brother is, and he is the sitting mayor whether we like it or not. I don't have a problem with it. Particularly given that all parties agreed it should be done. Not to mention, debates are meant to educate. And what do you think most will be watching - the debate or the presser?
  20. W

    Rob Ford's Toronto

To be fair, I think he said it would be full steam ahead after today's press conference.
