Agreed. The conveyor walkway would be good for people who can walk but find it a bit of a struggle, or even for regular people with no ailments, but you gotta believe that people with canes and walkers would try to use it.

I know sometimes we gripe about the slow progress on the east side of downtown, but looking through these pictures really shows that it has progressed a lot. Of all the neighbourhoods in Calgary East Village is the one that has progressed the most in the last five years.

Imagine if they left it green like that, it would stick out in every skyline photo lol.

I think you’re correct. I don’t remember which day it was but I drove past there and there and there was a pick up truck and a yellow vest dude on the site. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to see what was going on.

Interesting they are getting money from the fund for a new build. I thought the fund was for conversions, but it's people into the core either way.

The towers are pretty generic looking, but the part I'm most excited about is the podium. It's so great to see portions of 10th ave getting actual retail frontage and sidewalks.

This would have a good sized effect on that stretch of University ave as it would be the first project on the north side east of 39th and would be nice to have something other than an empty field across from Block 23.
