So you think the podium design at emerald park is good. Ok then. Thanks for the good wishes. Yes I agree design is about taste. *edited to add eyeroll for sarcasm

So you consider this a solid effort? In my opinion it screams of laziness. No attention given to pedestrian scale. Essentially a copy of a previous, disastrous design. This is the definition of banality.

Emerald park is a perfect example. An undefined, inscrutable, all-glass hunk of building makes for a terrible streetscape. I don't know why you would expect any different results from the same design. Fool me once, shame on you...

I'm sorry, but I don't know how you can defend this utterly shapeless piece of copy-paste cyborg anti-urbanism. The tower is.. fine. And I do still think that red glazing creates an absolutely horrific interior space.

Word. also the idea of 'branding' the building is pretty gross. (I commented about this on the main article)

I still don't get how you sell window wall as luxury but all things being equal this is looking pretty f'ing good! interested to see how the top gets resolved.

It's weird and white - I like it! Not totally convinced about the massing and especially how it meets the ground but it's a good start

I guess so.. just can't understand how someone consider such a heavy handed use tinted glass 'elegant'

this thing is ugly as fudge. are we that desperate for colour that we're praising oxblood tinted glass guards? yuck! the angled balconies are awkward as well window wall and tinted glass. seriously? I can't believe people like this design

The scale is fine, but why does it have to be so ugly?
