This has probably been asked before: If I get onto a TTC bus on a route they have advertised as being Presto-enabled and the reader/s don't work and/or the bus doesn't have a Presto reader, I ride for free and shouldn't be expected to pay with another method, correct?

Is this confirmed that buses won't be driving into the station? Incredibly ridiculous if passengers are forced to walk out onto the street to catch any connecting buses.

Well, it has been a few weeks now and I've seen no incidents personally and haven't read about any incidents in regards to passenger safety that have been caused due to the loss of the guard position. Who would've guessed it. Someone should let Bob Kinnear know.

Experienced something last year I've never had before. At Union, heading northbound to Downsview, our train took the middle siding/holding track instead of the usual NB track. Didn't see any sign of any work taking place as far as I could tell so not sure what the reason for that would be or...

I asked the TTC about the chime overriding announcements when I first noticed it last year. They said the chime is more important for safety for people on/off the train than transit control delivering a message which would get repeated a few minutes later generally anyway.

Curious to why TTC (and most others making fantasy maps here) insists on designing their transit maps on a black background when a majority of transit organizations worldwide use a white/light background.

Because no one outside of Ontario knows what or where Hamilton, Barrie, et al. is so people just say Toronto and a majority would know the name, possibly know where in Canada it is.

Having streetcar wires and the supporting wires everywhere certainly doesn't help to making a street look clean.
