    European traffic signs in Toronto

Maybe they forgot to take down the stop signs once the roundabout was in place?

New TTC mobile app, help needed...

    1) People can already report problems via @TTChelps. 2) I would never pay for an app every month, no matter how good it was.

    TTC: Customer Service

The difference being is that here you need always need to have a staff member for fare collection/enforcement.

    Road Tolls

Growing up and living in and near Sydney, Australia, I have always had toll roads in my driving career, with around eight (if my memory serves me correctly) different tolls around various parts of the city, so I could easily be inclined to vote yes to road tolls. But then I thought about...

Why does Toronto always dominate the best cities list???

Have you even ever been to San Fran or Sydney? The system here in Toronto pails in comparison to both those cities. For one, they have more than two subway lines in their downtown core, and secondly, they incorporate not just the individual city, but the surrounding areas.

    Snow/ice clearance and winter tires

Having never needing to travel on the above-ground parts, I actually wouldn't know about these things. I presume though TTC tracks would be one of the first things cleared during snowfalls.

    Snow/ice clearance and winter tires

Or subways, who have no weather obstacles.

    Transit Fantasy Maps

I'm sure it's good, but it's so small I can't even read the text.

    Toronto 2024 Olympic Bid (Dead)

Except we are talking about the summer games, and Canada blows for the most part. Unless some Canadian makes the 100m track final, half the country will never be watching a single event.

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

I was sitting in one of the new cars yesterday, and ended up staring at the digital network map. Then it occurred to me, and I know it's nothing short-term, but once new lines are added, it seems impractical to have to upgrade every single map in every single car across the network, when...

    Toronto Tourism

Based on area size and number of animals sure, but San Diego Zoo has more species, which is what really matters.

    2012 predictions, anyone?

    These two I pray for.

    January 2012 Service Cuts

This whole 'getting change from a token machine' thing is already pissing me off and it's only the second day. If only they weren't so moronic and had debit/credit machines installed a decade ago.

Critics peeved over new sidewalk ‘information pillars’

Unless you're from another country and don't want to spend a fortune and/or buy a SIM card to have data.

    Toronto 2030

The TTC in the downtown core now is at capacity and there is no real plan to help alleviate it. A major metropolitan city with only two subways lines is really the worst joke I've ever seen.

    About the Toronto Sun

I read The Sun at work and look at only two things. The Sunshine Girl (obviously), and the sports section (the best in the city). For general news and etc, I browse the Toronto Star.

    Toronto 2030

Public transport will remain just as terrible as it is now. Check that: It'll probably be even worse.

    2011 Canadian Census

And you presume I'm a 14-year-old and living at home, how exactly? I live in a house with a bunch of other chumps who never mentioned it so obviously they didn't know. I presume the form comes in the mail, but most of us have our own PO box so never would have seen it.

Ford Wants NFL Team For Toronto

Too small and a terrible stadium for any sport, though it's better for football than baseball. I said 40,000-60,000 as I figured there would be a good amount who would drive to said venue (obviously depending on where it was though).

    Toronto Toronto | Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

Comfort, drop off right at the hotel door, and free wi-fi. GO and TTC can't compete with that.
