The M+G West tower WILL BE A SUPERTALL, at 304.6m. The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (of which I am a member) using the metric system for measuring and defining height categories...

This project is turning out to be a real gem. It really raises the bar for large scale condo developments. I hope we get something good out of the one bloor W site. My dream architects for the pretty much inevitable development: Sou Fujimoto or MVRDV. We need more starchitects building in...

This blog post is from this april, but I haven't seen any news about the design being modified. It looks alright. Certainly quite a presence on Bloor. http://www.blogto.com/city/2014/04/is_bay_bloor_in_danger_of_becoming_a_condo_jungle/

Does anyone know how many elevators this tower will have?

Thank you so much! I hope to make more renderings until Gehry makes his mind up on the design. I'm optimistic. Even watered down, these buildings are still more eye catching than any condominiums yet built in Toronto. I actually prefer this project to the butchered stumpy version proposed by...

Wow, thanks! Could I have the link on twitter?

I couldn't help myself. I'm just annoyed that Gehry never makes renderings. Gehry viewed from another Gehry! (for those wondering where Theatre Park is, I had to use on older photo because I could not find a new one with the right view…) No compromise can replace the boldness of the original...

Haha, exactly right. Mirvish+Gehry West WILL be a supertall. http://www.ctbuh.org/TallBuildings/HeightStatistics/Criteria/tabid/446/language/en-US/Default.aspx

Benito, what would we do without you?

    Toronto Toronto | Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

Remember, the iterations of the original plan actually increased in complexity over time. These are just preliminary models of the new plan, so I bet we will see some more Gehry flourishes in the coming weeks. Never the less, I really like the designs. They will certainly be the most memorable...

Though I love the original plan, I was happily surprised by this! City/developer compromises almost always result in NIMBY-tecture, but these towers look pretty good. Two taller towers is far better than three butchered ones. Finally, Toronto's first super tall!!!

Glass curved on two axes is wildly expensive. It was enough to run a whole development into bankruptcy (London's Pinnacle Tower, now undergoing redesign). M+G will be in it's own category, but for now its really awesome to see a developer actually putting money and effort into creating an...

    Toronto Toronto | One Bloor East | 257.24m | 76s | Great Gulf | Hariri Pontarini

Will One Bloor have a penthouse and sub-penhouses like Aura? Even if it doesn't, I but we will see one buyer snap up a whole floor of units, like in the L Tower. I think this will one of the most striking new Toronto condos since the advent of the boom (along with, in my opinion, the L Tower...

The height of the floor below the one that shown in waterscapes-guy's pics is just about 2 meters. Is it a mechanical space? It's far to low to be a residential floor…
