Publicly Accessible tall buildings for photography?

I found another one: Renaissance Plaza across from the ROM on Avenue and Bloor. It's only 9 floors, but its lobby has a great view of downtown.

Haha! I agree. It's a shame this awesome building has to top out, I'd love to see it just keep on rising skyward into the clouds.

Good ideas. Do you know if the TD Centre is open this year for Doors Open?

Publicly Accessible tall buildings for photography?

The title says it all. I am interested in photography and tall buildings, and always on the lookout for new vantage points to view this great city. Does anyone know of any tall buildings that are publicly accessible? (beyond the lobby of course). A good example is U of T's Leslie L Dan...

Though Toronto condominiums are certainly having trouble stepping out of the safe and time tested form of the box, I think we are starting to see a few new project that are, paraphrasing another UT Forum member "It's a glass box, but a very nice glass box". I think this, YC Condos, Residences...

The base is blocked by the Hummingbird Centre in the main rendering for a reason. It's a shame it didn't turn out as planned.

Great photo! While I really love this project, I find it a quite interesting that the the columns on the retail entrance supporting the tower (i.e., the ones that carry the greatest loads) have no horizontal bracing for the first 12 meters up.

Now that the weather is improving, has GG given any indication about the speed of construction of the tower floors? Will we see this go up at one floor per week? That would be awesome.

Just to clarify, is this thing approved and ready to go? I hope the design review board doesn't mess with it...

These new pictures are wonderful! I can't wait to see how the balconies turn out! This quote was used by someone describing the RCMI, but it applies to Theatre Park as well: "It's a glass box, but it's a REALLY REALLY nice glass box."

Well, at least they made a point. The concrete is drab and in dire need of a makeover.

    Toronto Toronto | CN Tower: Entry Pavilion, Plaza, Renos | ?m | ?s | CLC | Arcadis

UT posted an article on how the CN Tower will be re-clad: http://urbantoronto.ca/news/2014/04/cn-tower-be-re-clad-time-pan-am-games …and the nearly dominant reaction on Facebook was that it was an April Fools Joke. Was this just unfortunate timing?

I'm really surprised that the lecture hall for OCAD's Princess of Wales Centre for Visual Arts will actually be contained in the East Tower, by far the most slender of the three. BTW these floorplans are from OCAD's site...
