That's how I feel. Jimmi has never been far from the mark. I almost think of this thread as consisting of news releases, twitter links, and Jimmi T's comments, with massive quantities of wisecracking and gossip to fill the gaps between them. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I think the phrase "low information voters" is helpful here. We've talked about the "hatred of elites" vote, and that may be a factor, but it's probably a small one compared to the "don't really know what's going on, but Ford seems like a down to earth guy" vote. That's the one we need to worry...

That's not what he said. It's a total guess. "Oh, a fire truck just drove by me in Etobicoke! There's a possibility they're rushing to put out a fire in Doug Ford's pants! There's a possibility the fire truck is driven by Batman and Robin, with Penguin manning the pumps!" The word possibility...

I don't get why he goes from 0 to 60 so quickly. If he just waited a few minutes and spoke to some "sources" (assuming he actually has any) he wouldn't embarrass himself so often.

That's just it… Rob Ford stands for unwarranted hatred and bigotry. That's practically his slogan. "ROB FORD: hatred and bigotry." We can't simply rise above it and take the high ground or something. He's the mayor. Every day he's out there, representing us in the worst way possible. Everyone...
