Looks like they should have double checked their google maps... they have Adelaide marked as Richmond on the cover page. Having the marketing collateral for such a costly site make that kind of blunder is pretty astounding.

If there was a way to tie this project's approval and ongoing revenue to surrounding infrastructure improvements (Downtown Relief Line and other transit, expanded covering of the rail corridor), I think it would be worth the risks this project brings with it. But as I understand, that is...

I really hope it's not one of those intersections where they forget to think about cyclists. At many of these pedestrian/vehicle initiated lights, cyclists have to choose between getting off their bike to hit the button or riding through the red.

This part is promising. As someone in the local media/advertising industry, I've heard about good space being really hard to find down here. It would be fantastic to see the Globe sell off the remaining property to someone with commercial aspirations as opposed to residential ones. It would be...

Otherwise known as "the cheapening." It looks like they may have placed the bushes on the top portion intentionally so that each unit has two windows facing into the same terrace instead of awkward all-glass windows facing your neighbours as they sun tan. If this is the case, these gardens...

I agree. the visual weight of this thing will be massive... much more imposing than a pair of point towers would be. It's going to look like a New York City block dumped into Wellington Place.

Would these be true bike spaces, or "bike/storage lockers" that aren't usually good or really accessible for everyday use and sell for $4000 a pop?

Why this building along Bathurst isn't considered "heritage" is beyond me. Looking at this image, it's beautiful and clearly a part of our history.

60 Bathurst has dark windows as well. While I would have preferred a more clear glass on that building, it's really broken up by the lighter grey and red facade.

That's true Ed, but it's relative. I hope we set the bar higher than the beige monstrosity on Front.

It's very Star Wars. When I look at this, I'm reminded of that part of Return of the Jedi where the rebels discuss how the Empire has neared completion of a second Death Star even more formidable than the first. And it's shape actually resembles an Imperial Star Destroyer in a way.

Nice pics. The look of the facade will still greatly impact how this blends with the neighbourhood, but I'm loving the scale of this project! The setback from the street is great for the street and the residents. This is what Minto/Freed should be looking at for scale when creating their project...

Has there been any progress on this? I saw some articles last summer but nothing since then. From everything I read, they wanted to move swiftly on proposals and have something chosen by this summer, but I haven't heard of anything happening at all. This is such a great opportunity and you'd...

Wow, that Toronto Escort Review Board is bizarre. The general talk area is quite active too... just a bunch dudes with common interest in prostitutes who also like to chit chat about other stuff with each other too.

Big elevators seem to work in Washington DC. I was on this elevator at Dupont Circle with probably 400 other people. It's probably 400 feet long, which would be much longer than what you need in 10 Dundas East Photo credit to ShonTron, who has this on another thread on UT.

I'm guessing that this was an expected response to last night's meeting. Propose 18 floors and you'll end up with 14. But propose 30 floors and then your "more reasonable" proposal comes in at 18 to 20 stories. Bringing all the towers down relative to that will also bring the number of units...

Although it is quite close to their other new location at Queen and Portland. I live smack dab between the two and I have no idea which one I'll actually frequent once they're built.

What's that big building to the East in the renderings? On the other side of the park... is that already proposed in some way or just an artist's creative license?

It looks like it may be fronting on to Bathurst at the end of that lot maybe... pretty much right where the auction house currently sits? The Adelaide building you're talking about was sitting right on the corner and - at least in the rendering - this looks mid-block. If this was the case, the...

Yeah but even if it was 4 towers, that's 300 units per tower, which is like 30 stories each depending on the footprint.
