agreed. there are lots of people who simply just want to have a peaceful subway ride from point a to b. so i respect that fully. personally it doesnt really matter to me whether there is wireless or not on trains...we have a home and our office for that.

are there any other companies that makes train doors? i found one on google and it's based in london...

name change or not, i think the fare system is ttc's number one priority right now. if they can come up with a new fare system, like the one in new york city or hong kong or even taiwan where you buy tickets from the machine, then there is no need for ttc collectors working at the collector...

it happened to me once when i was at north york center. the guy wasnt there and it was like midnight. so i put in some change (not exact obviously) and just walked thru. i mean there are still cameras around so you could still get caught technically. better safe than sorry imo...
