    New Zoning Bylaw

I'm going to miss visiting some of the other districts in the city once this passes.

    LRT Expansion Planning

While Edmonton added 100,000 residents in the past 2 years, that also resulted in an extra 65,000 vehicles on our roads (Mayor Sohi recently shared that stat). That's like 90 cars a day being added to our streets. And with most roads not getting wider - especially in areas taking us to major...

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Would be surprised if people are driving south for domestic. But I know 4 people (2 seperate couples) driving down to YYC in July to fly to Tokyo - it was $400 cheaper to drive to airport than fly from here, one of couples said. That is one place I would like to visit.

    Alberta Politics

Actually Sohi has was one of 9 on council that voted for the new police funding formula that provides EPS a base amount (higher per capita rate than any other city in Canada) plus it's tied to inflation and population growth - something most cities don't do but provides EPS with more predictable...

Jasper Avenue New Vision / Imagine Jasper Avenue

Businesses, too! It would be nice if maybe Circle K or the liquor store came out and cleaned the broken glass on the sidewalk nearby. But in terms of the bollards that have been tampered with and the one removed and thrown in the shrub bed, hopefully it's not too many more days before the city...

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

Mexico wasn't included in the North American number so that would move the needle on public/active transportation - but it really highlights US/Canada. Have to keep in mind the size of our countries although at the same time the large majority of people live in cities.

    Edmonton Real Estate Market

If an older home on a lot is torn down for a new SFH, is that considered a new housing start? I imagine no new homes are being built in Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto now unless it's just a rebuild.

    Edmonton Real Estate Market

Took this data from the YYC site - the April housing starts across Canada. Edmonton has highest number of townhomes of any city. We're also the only major city that has SFH as its highest segment of new housing being built. I think I've heard concerns from some in development industry that...

Jasper Avenue New Vision / Imagine Jasper Avenue

A lot of the garbage in and around the area seems related to the convenience store and certainly in behind their building where the larger dumpsters are - lots of garbage builds up along the metal fencing and that is often area people tend to rest. I've picked garbage in some of these shrub...

Jasper Avenue New Vision / Imagine Jasper Avenue

This one block section of Jasper Ave (113-114) where Circle K is located is a problem area. Ongoing garbage, broken glass, left behind belongings and various people in need. With Basilica across the street, there are often 1 or more people looking for donations outside the church.

Jasper Avenue New Vision / Imagine Jasper Avenue

This pic doesn't do it justice, but an example of the garbage recently collected in this green bed between 113-114st along Jasper Ave. Most of the bollards have been loosened as well and one was removed and thrown in the green bed. Sent in to city.

I'd say point received!. 311 is frustrating to use and people haven't had positive outcome with it. My question has been answered.

Jasper Avenue New Vision / Imagine Jasper Avenue

It's definitely easier to post here and less frustrating although when I have called I usually haven't waited long. I do like to use app to add pic but it has issues sometimes. I'm about to submit a 311 pic from one of the newer flower beds on Jasper Ave between 113 to 114 street that has...

Hey all good. And I was thanking the poster above for posting to 311 - it's helpful.

Edmonton City Centre Mall (Renovations) | ?m | 2s | LaSalle Investment Management

It would be good if they have this Sport Chek space then visible from the street - create some life and visual interest along 102 Ave and this corner.

Thanks for posting to 311. Why is this forum the first go to for people to submit their grievances versus 311 which certainly has a better likelihood of getting a positive result.

    Edmonton Oilers

Aside from the goaltending question, if our two elite offensive players are going to be paired up with our top goal scorer of the season like we have done our last two games, they better produce 2 or 3 goals a game at least not counting PP - especially if they are on the ice half the game. We've...

    Edmonton Oilers

As per analysis, I can certainly get behind sitting out Perry. Disappointing that none of the three later season acquisitions - Perry, Henrique or Carrick - have made the team better right now than last year due to various reasons.
