    Municipal Politics

I had the same reaction and laugh when reading that statement from this new city party. This UCP government is not easy to work with at all- not just the big cities feel that way. Sohi is a fair and reasonable person, regardless of any other opinions of him. The city should absolutely call it...

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

Premier Smith and Alberta Transportation Minister Devin Dreeshen (who has made negative comments about bike lanes) just made the best case why we need to expand them, although he was talking about trains during today's press conference on Alberta train build out. Same logic applies. “It’s like...

    Edmonton Oilers

True. But Nashville did score more than LA this year. And would Oilers be up 3-1 in series with our back up or second back up? It's impressive.

    Edmonton Oilers

Oilers and Canucks both up 3-1 and a potential showdown if one or both don't collapse. Vancouver has won their first 3 games with 3 different goalies. I don't imagine that has happened before or at least not for a very long time. Impressive.

    Edmonton | The Mercury Block | 21.7m | 6s

Are they still going to be creating some graffiti-esque art on the building in white and red like the renders? I think that will certainly add some interest.

    Edmonton | Stationlands Residential Towers | 90m | 25s | Qualico | DIALOG

On the website and its marketing on socials, this is the only new project that doesn't mention anything about bike parking/storage versus Hat 122, Mercury, Falcon, Abbey Park, Citizen.

    LRT Safety

If they are going to do this, which I don't love, was there a period of time where warnings were given out first at least?

    Municipal Politics

It helps when they get things like the demolition of their arena covered by the province or cleaning and maintenance of Deerfoot Trail while we pay for those equivalents among others on our own.

Not like it's London, though. 😉

    Downtown

105 st is definitely one of downtown's busier north/south streets for motor vehicles but its not such a pleasant or interesting street to walk down and not friendly to bike down. I'm questioning the locations of some of the EDBA's retail attraction program. But hope it will be successful.

    Edmonton | Blatchford Development | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

Shovels in the ground this summer? A few months ago, you said this project was dead. See below from January. Was there a different project with the Hangar starting construction?

A developer like Procura has stopped paying taxes? Wow

    Downtown

Right. I will "continue to follow up" and monitor each day and pick up the same garbage multiple times as needed.

    Downtown

Interesting that you asked, because I had to call 311 again last night because the garbage was still there and some of it had been opened up and spread around. It took just a few minutes to re-bag it, but I was disappointed the city had marked the file as closed and yet hadn't been picked up...

    Edmonton Oilers

PP, something some were worried about, was on fire yesterday, and produced at big moments. Hope that continues. And some good kills.

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

Anyone know when shared scooters, e-bikes will be available? I assume Lime and Bird are likely providers again?

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

But she has definitely come out against Calgary's rezoning bylaw proposal.

    Edmonton | Abbey Park Residences | 22.86m | 6s | Abbey Lane Homes

Yup, would love more of these and some townhomes in the community. This, The Mercury, and Hat 122 all very different - each very welcome.

    Downtown Real Estate

Kudos to the city on this: "Wosnack (of Avison Young) praised the city’s speed in getting the development permit sorted. In other major cities, he said, the process is significantly longer. “If you were to build a new residential tower in Toronto, it’s three years to get a development permit,”...
