Casa Condos (Cresford Developments) - Real Estate -

If it is as close as I am imagining, then yes, you will definitely hear people. If you can see them from your balcony, they'll be able to see your unit. I think most condos have a closing time for the pool so it's not accessible 24-hrs....I imagine the area will be activity-free by midnight at...

    Toronto Toronto | Motion On Bay Street | ?m | 29s | Concert | IBI Group

I've seen some pics, but I don't know if they were official or current though. The taller portion of the building was slimmer than the base which probably preserves the view from particular vantage points.

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

This could be good news for potential first-time homebuyers who don't have to sell or maybe even people trading up.

    Shy Real Estate Agents

Some agents will get another agent from their brokerage to work with you, including offer submission, and will insist on this. You do not end up talking directly to the listing agent.

Comments? Small 1+1 units at One City Hall

I think only the south facing units will have a great view as a rental building is scheduled to be built on the parking lot on the corner of Bay and Dundas. Thanks for your comments. I like the second one better too -- small balcony but more storage space due to losing a bathroom (which can be...

Comments? Small 1+1 units at One City Hall

Both units are billed at 695 sqft. Any comments on the units? A friend is looking to either rent or buy, but likely rent since it would be easier. But just in case she buys, your comments would be appreciated. I know this is not the most glamorous location or condo, but it is in an excellent...

specific bay street area condos - do you have any opinions?

A friend is looking at living in the bay street corridor area. I'm not really familiar with the reputations of most of the condos she asked about in this area: The Met/Encore: connected to subway The Liberties Murano Minto on Elm St One City Hall (on Elizabeth St) Horizon on Bay (at 633...

Developers should not be allowed to call a windowless room a Bedroom!!

This is the most annoying to me. I prefer natural light, but since I'm away most of the day, it's annoying not to have ceiling light in the bedroom and living room. Table and floor lamps just aren't the same.

    Post a good floorplan!

That is a beautiful unit. The floor with the terrace would be a dream. Sure it is a bit narrow, but there are large windows in all the rooms. And although it is a linear kitchen, there is room for a functional island AND seating. Where is this from?

NY Times article: A Brooklyn Apartment Sold Too Soon?

Link to Article Author sold his Brooklyn Heights apartment (co-op with multiple issues) at a steep loss in 1993. Now it could sell for much, much more. Co-op did not allow subletting at the time, so owners basically had to sell when they moved out. Obviously can be quite painful when looking...

Murano Condos (Lanterra Developments) - Real Estate -

That corner is pretty bad in terms of visitor parking....RoCP and the Liberties (older building) both don't have visitor parking iirc, although there is paid parking available very close.

    Toronto Toronto | YWCA Elm Centre | ?m | 17s | YWCA Toronto | SvN

I think this one will be one of the nicer ones. There are definitely some TCHC buildings/areas that are less desirable than others.

How small can condo units in Toronto get?

Completely agree. 2bdr sounds better than 1+1 even though it will likely function as a den. Those plans remind me of student housing/dorms.

    Post a good floorplan!

With all this talk about small units and their floorplans....post a floorplan which you think makes excellent use of space and/or has unique features. It can be any size, from studios to larger units, from any building, and year. You may also want to post why you think it is an excellent...

Why purchase pre-construction condos at inflated price?

When I was looking at assignments this spring, the profits people were asking for were excellent (and didn't require a lot of work like flipping resale). Of course it depends on many factors like location, timing, deposit structure. But these are excellent returns for 4 years. As an example...

Happy to be Free from Owning Houses

I know a couple of people who live in Scarborough and they get annoyed at the reaction they get when they tell people this. They all live in nice houses. From just my brief visits, the Scarborough Bluffs area is very nice, although the main road when you exit the area is not so nice.

    Potential growth

Yeah, one of many reasons why I decided not to buy on assignment earlier this year. You would also have to pay the occupancy fee and likely any other costs related to occupancy and then registration and closing of the condo.

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

I know someone who purchased a 1+1 bdr unit for ~$425/sqft including parking and locker this April/May in the downtown core. It's not luxurious (i.e. granite not standard!) or brand new, but it is relatively new with acceptable amenities. Some trade-offs had to be made though. It costs...

But perhaps white and off-white blinds are more abundant in regular retail stores?

The cost of living downtown and bidding wars (buyer's opinion)

Is the tank rental or owned? The renting of water tanks and heat pumps can add up quite a bit.
