The Diesel store looks gorgeous to say the least. (I wish we had one in Vancouver) Hopefully we'll see some paving stones out front in the near future. I'd say that location deserves more than asphalt fill.

I doubt the tacked-on pre-cast detail will ever look finished. Residents appreciate good taste and uniformity. Salvaged brickwork would be less expensive and look more authentic and taking cues from the preserved building would've adhered to this.

Pretty soon you can forget about Manhatten view corrdidors. The classic view of Woolworths from the Brookln Bridge will bite the dust in favour of a huge Gehry scraper, the most gorgeous of his yet.

Yuckville? Yorkville has some the most beautifully restored Victorian row-homes in the city. No postmodern building you obviously dislike can take away from that. To be honest, I like this project. The townhomes are tastefully designed and almost make up for a bit of the barbaric destruction...

Some of the rich single guys who purchased here will have a nice view of their escorts in the new building across the street:D
