No, not talking about the ceramic glass cooktops. I was talking about things like : I dont know... Personal preference of course, but I think matte black/white appliances are ugly. The picture that Solaris posted is from Tridel, and I believe the Fridge, Range/Oven, and Microwave area...

I dont mind black, as long as it's black ceramic/glass... though those tend to be very expensive. On a side note, -I guess Great Gulf isnt the only one to use Amana appliances.

Not to put down 500 Sherbourne, but I dont the two projects are even in the same league. I'd say X is more in the same league as Casa in terms of appeal, and Casa is bloody expensive (though arguably justified).

Great pics! Im guessing you took them from the apartment building at the corner of Bloor & Jarvis? And it looks like they're currently working on the 19th floor.

thanks for clarifying. All I remember was that they were going to hide the wires somehow, but I didnt get much more information on how. As for the foundation, -I was told that they were going to put a stronger foundation in that area so that it would support a wall mounted tv (otherwise it...

Hi Imti, -just wondering if they explained how that 'home theater' upgrade was going to work? I got it too, -but stupidly, didnt ask enough questions. Is it just a stronger foundation for a TV wall mount? Or is there some sort of way to hide wires?

i want to be a first time buyer...completely new at this

wow... that's $477 sq/ft. for a place that isnt going to be done in another 3-4years. Preconstruction isnt cheap anymore.

wow... prices have come down from last summer (versus Casa which I've heard is upping the price near the $600sq/ft range).

I dont know... It's quick, -but I still dont see this topping out until the end of the year to beginning of next. If they're on the 18th floor right now, they'll be done the 20th by the end of the month. That leaves 6months for the rest of the year (Jul-Dec). And you have to guess that...

If there was no phantom rent, and payments went directly towards your mortgage, then I'd agree with you 100%. But as it stands, paying for an unfinished product is complete and utter crap.

yeah... took that into consideration. While my unit is in no way huge, -the plan for a love seat and chaisse will be approximately 12ft and 16ft (it's just a tad under 17' between where the TV will be placed and the windows) from where the TV will be hung.

The white quartz upgrade that I was talking about was the countertop in the 'upgraded' kitchen model (the one with the built in and integrated appliances) and the integrated dining table (in the island). I ended up picking the grey granite. I did the same thing as you with the hardwood (both...

I kinda felt a bit rushed too, -but because I already knew alot of the prices and had more or less already made up my mind on what I wanted, it wasnt too bad. The white quartz was actually the stone I wanted, -but no matter how I priced it, I couldnt get my entire upgrades at my $10k budget...

    European Appliances - worth it?

While I like the cooktop, if the oven is the same as in the model kitchen than I wouldnt do it. I guess if you dont use it much it wouldnt matter, but the stove is really really small. You'd be lucky fit a frozen pizza in that thing, -nevermind roasting a chicken or a turkey. As for the...
