I lived at Richmond/Sherbourne for 10 years and agree that this would be great for the area! Although, I do have to admit the renderings with all the crowds of happy people shopping might be a bit of a stretch :)

I can see the park from my condo window and they have added tree protection around some of the bigger trees. I would assume that means they will stay and be worked around.

Tons of activity on site today. Shoring has begun.

Walked by this morning and there are crates of stone out front, and workers appear to be starting on the plaza.

The workers are fencing off the parking lot today with metal fencing. I assume sales center demo will be starting soon.

From what I can see all of the suites in that corner don't have people living in them. I assume they are finished, but many still have boxes and supplies stored in them.

I noticed on the weekend that the sales office is now located in "London on the Esplanade". It replaced the sales office for "The Selby".

I took a look at the Canada Lands website, but was slightly confused by it. It seems like they do development, but also try to maintain the heritage components? What do you guys think they would be looking do here? Gut the inside and restore? Build on top? Make it into a "community space"?

Yeah they have now cut down all 3 of the large trees on King Street. Shame those couldn't be protected somehow. There are also a couple trucks on site unloading the displays from the sales center.

Does anyone have any information on what is going on with the new planters that were installed on Esplanade between Market St and Church? I expected them to be used this year, but they are still just filled with wood chips and weeds.

There were some workers on site yesterday. They took the marketing banners off the sales center and the Westinghouse building.

They are assembling a large tent in the parking lot right now.

I'm overlooking this project from my desk at work. There is nothing going on. It is still being used as a parking lot.

I find the new sign difficult to read, at least from street level. It's placed on the finned glass sections, and the letters become illegible. Should have been moved down a little to the normal glass.

The Scott Street dressing rooms are being torn down this morning.

Well the sales office at Scott/Esplanade seems that it was JUST finished, or close too it. Wasted effort now I suppose.

While walking down King Street yesterday, I was behind a couple people who were looking at the building. They were convinced the white stripes were on there to keep the windows from falling onto the street! Thought that was pretty funny :)

I watched them put this up over the last week. Kind of confused why they went through the effort of making those 3 windows... then bricking them up.

Yes that's exactly what they were. They were hanging drywall and painting.
