    Toronto Toronto | Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

I think another building of similar height in Aura's vicinity would help with the aesthetics.

Is the west side of Toronto more prominent than the east side?

There are still neighbourhoods in the east end that have not gone through the gentrification process like the west end has. Maybe in a few years when Regent Park, Cabbagetown and St Jamestown go through some developments that will make the east end of downtown on par with the west end. If we go...

    CityPlace

I thought they would have also have solved the dog crap problem by now but apparently it's still a big issue in the area. I think one of the problems is how many of the tenants are recent grads that live as if they are still in their university dorm.

    Toronto Toronto | Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

From looking at your pictures of the retail area my first thought also was of a small shopping mall I went to in Mumbai. I wonder if we're thinking of the same place :D

    Toronto Eaton Centre

Yup I remember the M&S in Eaton Centre and Yorkdale. As my family has ties to England we would go in there often and we would buy bags of their chips.

    Apple Store

My ladyfriend has been using Macbooks for years, and more recently a Macbook Air, and has had her share of hardware issues that resulted in trips to the Apple store, waiting for repairs etc. I recently convinced her to buy a Surface Pro 3 and I doubt she is going back to Apple again because it...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I wonder if some of the north south bus routes that don't currently go up to Eglinton will be extended to reach the nearest LRT stop.

    Toronto Toronto | Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

Aura has grown on me now as well after seeing it on a regular basis. It looks better from certain directions than it does from others, but on the whole it's ok in the skyline. It could easily have been a lot better, but it's not the abomination that a lot of people online are making it out to be.

    Toronto Toronto | Yonge Eglinton Centre | ?m | 37s | RioCan | P + S / IBI

I have now seen the interior in person and honestly it's not so bad, and will look a lot better when the rest of the work is done. I think sometimes we just need to let go and embrace the tackiness instead of being critical of everything.

    Toronto Toronto | One Bloor East | 257.24m | 76s | Great Gulf | Hariri Pontarini

I think One Bloor is now visible from the Millwood bridge, but there was a lot of haze and fog the last few days so I'm not sure if it was the one I was seeing.

    Leaside

I go by the site often and the work seems to be moving at a snail's pace. They usually have one machine tearing things down and a shovel loading up a dump truck. Many days when I go by there isn't anything going on at all even if the weather is nice.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Does anyone have any info on the Midtown Toronto line that was talked about around this time a year ago? Seems like there was a lot of buzz about it last year but since then I haven't heard anything about it. Looked like a great idea, especially with the talk of North Toronto station being...

Yonge Street Revitalization (Downtown Yonge BIA/City of Toronto)

I remember going down to Sam, Music World, HMV etc to buy new cassette albums (I'm not old enough for vinyl) and while people looked forward to release dates and rushed to the stores after school it wasn't really some out of the ordinary social experience as far as I remember. Just walk into the...

    Toronto Toronto | Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

Any idea when the lights for the top are going to be switched on again?

    Toronto Toronto | Atrium on Bay Expansion | 114m | 34s | KingSett Capital | Hariri Pontarini

In terms of interior and exterior design the Atrium is actually a fairly underrated building in the city. The only problem is that it has a really weird vibe inside of it that just makes you feel a bit malaise. I think one of the reasons why the retail in Atrium never took off because there are...

    Toronto Toronto | BMO Field Renovations | ?m | ?s | MLSE | Gensler

I was hoping the Argos would be completely out of the picture but by the looks of it they are still in the long term plans.

Yonge Street Revitalization (Downtown Yonge BIA/City of Toronto)

I was born in the city and my memories of Yonge, and the city in general go back to about the late 80s. I would agree with you that the city has improved greatly, especially in areas of culture, entertainment, and social life. I don't know how the city was before the 80s, but I do think that...

    Toronto Toronto | BMO Field Renovations | ?m | ?s | MLSE | Gensler

Most of the big teams in England play on a hybrid surface now. Doesn't turn the field into mud on wet days

    City fatigue?

I don't think there would be a honeymoon phase because I think a lot of people know quite quickly whether or not they are going to enjoy their lives in the city. Some people I have met during my studies, at work or around town who hail from small towns dislike the urban life right off the bat...

    Toronto Toronto | One Bloor East | 257.24m | 76s | Great Gulf | Hariri Pontarini

Nice pics. With the rate they're going at I'll probably be able to see the construction from my place in East York in a week or two.
