Would it be possible to tunnel a new Yonge line underneath the existing one? That way they could avoid ploughing through anybody's basement...

Grand Genesis, Grand Palace, Beverly Hills, Xpression condos, etc. are all either recently completed or currently under construction. The construction elevator is down now. Below are some pics from today. Apparently, once SkyCity 1 + 2 are complete, the developer intends to build 4 additional buildings in the space to the north ranging in height from 15 to 30 storeys. I've heard that townhouses will be developed on the land...

I'm not an expert on these matters, but I think Fall 2015 would be a bit more realistic. I didn't buy a unit in here – I just have a good view of the construction in progress. :)

The first tower is really shooting up now, and some brickwork has made an appearance on the ground floor. Not sure when construction on the second tower is set to begin. I wonder if people will start moving into tower number one while there's still a big gaping hole on the other end of the...

Has anyone here moved in yet? Any insider experiences you'd care to share? :) I haven't heard anything new about occupancy dates for Building B recently, but work appears to be progressing more or less on schedule. It was nice to get a glimpse of the building's interior at the "information...

The construction elevator for Building B has been removed, while landscaping around both buildings appears to be almost complete. There are even a few people actually living here now. :) I'm rather liking the way this has turned out, thus far. September 29, 2012

Very informative post - thanks for sharing. Glad to hear your PDI went well. Hopefully they'll be able to resolve your outstanding issues before you move in.

Last I heard, occupancy of Building B wasn't supposed to start until December-ish of this year. I'm not sure about Building A. I hope all goes well on your PDI, by the way. If you have any info or advice you'd care to share afterwards, that would be awesome. :)

This sounds more like an argument in favour of living in the suburbs. Or on a farm.

It looks like Building A should be ready for occupancy pretty soon. Has anyone heard anything about scheduling PDIs yet?

Things seem to be moving along quickly now. The driveway's been paved, lampposts have been installed, and the construction elevator for Building A has been dismantled. They've also started working on the area next to Building B where the 'pavilion' is supposed to go... July 2, 2012...
