Is that a persistent rumour? I've never heard that before, nor seen it anywhere on any of these threads. TTC, if anything, has seemed very bullish on their streetcar fleet and projected ridership numbers.

I'm not a contributor there, but would be good if we added another column in the deliveries table to show where each car was assembled.

The TTC required a car that can handle minimum curve radii of ~11m, rolls on non-standard TTC-guage track, and can scale a maximum grade of 8%. The Crosstown cars are running on standard-guage tracking, have minimum curve radii of ~25m (more than double the TTCs system) and maximum grade is 5%...

I wonder how much time was lost dealing with the 4466 car in TB, it could have disrupted production a little bit. It's been a productive quarter for BBD, let's hope they keep it up for Q3 and Q4.

On the commercial aircraft side maps very early each 'air frame' to each customer and there they have had many out of order deliveries. abcdlist.nl/cseries/cseries.html That's an entirely different ball game as the customers have distinct aircraft, but I'm sure BBD is likely to have the car...

the timeline in that document has 'contract award' in Q4 2020, and first delivery out in Q2 2024. But, once all of the 204 initial-order cars are delivered, presumably sometime in Q4 2019 or Q1 2020, couldn't we immediately start having cars from the option-order delivered? 2019 production...

Do you have a source in the contract that says MDBF is 95? The story you listed words it as 'servicing'... that may be scheduled service, rather than failures (doors, etc.) This report lists a target 25000 for the Siemens LRVs (around 40000KMs) which is right in line with the BBD cars...

We have to start somewhere though - people learn once the critical mass of people know about the buttons. Many metro lines in Europe operate this way and everyone gets along just fine. I'd trade some confusion now for a future where it becomes rare that people don't know they have to request...

I saw 4470 last night ~9:00PM SB Bathhurst at College. It had a sign in the window: "Just arrived: On way to Leslie Barns"

What's happening with 4470? Should have been shipped by now, but haven't seen a confirmation. Anyone have any idea on how many cars are nearing completion and could potentially arrive by end of Q1?
