I have seen a lot of complaints about this building on previous posts. What would you have preferred to see?

If there were a proposal out there, it would have surfaced earlier rather than now I would expect. The planning windows and the administrative steps are long and there are many players to satisfy, not just the Board.

Here are two comparative shots from today; Emerald and Hullmark. Much more activity in Hullmark compared to Emerald Park. At 3:00 in the afternoon little activity at all on the Emerald site. Size leaves a bit to be desired.

It will be interesting to see if this excavation is to be as deep as the Hullmark Centre. The area of the site is about the same.

Jivey's reference to the inside wall explains my question a week or two ago about the "pipes" jutting out diagonally from the main excavation. These were used to attach the inside wall (I am sure there are others who can explain the engineering and the proper jargon for this).
