This photo appears to be computer generated; was it from the website for the project? This appears to be the way the tops of each were planned originally?

I can answer my own post above now; the hoarding was all down this morning and the sales office on the site appears much more complete than before. The rest of the site appeared to be bare earth with only one or two pieces of equipment. As this was the site of a former body shop, truck...

I remember Law Developments now that you mention it Investican. Toddglen (I checked the spelling today), is also the contractor for The Palm in North York I notice. They may be acting as property manager for the continuing commercial part of the Central Park complex as well. That list...

From what I can see, the work is progressing inside to drill for the pilings, pour the concrete and place them. They are working on the north side of the lot and a bit on the south. Today the access to Bogert Avenue (on the north side) was blocked so that some excavation work could be...

Your are right Ed007, the name is Central Park on Yonge from the pole sign. I looked it up on the internet today, the developer was Todglen Group--they still list it as one of their recent projects on their website. The retail uses have been fairly stable over the years without drastic...

In other nearby projects, such as Savvy, they put beams in on an angle for support at the side--but I could be way off here. Did we confirm that those pillars being constructed in the foreground of your pictures are the base for a crane?

I drive by this area daily, had noticed the sign for the development, but did not pay much attention until now. Further to the discussions in April, just to the south there was the development at Yonge and Clarke, stacked townhouse condos on the top of retail. In the 90's when it was built...

Looking at the second last pic, it seems that the older concrete condos and apartments do not belong. The future has been cast.

Unless you are in the Minto Spring building, it is very hard to see the crane base or to tell that it is in fact a base. These pictures seem to confirm it though--located at the south east side of the site. It will be awsome indeed if it goes up as quickly as Aura has. Those earthen ramps...

Somewhere in the other threads there was a discussion about this site, maybe Hullmark. The lot to the south of the McDonald's & Hakim Optical building is TTC land (former location of Dempsey's Hardware). The word was that TTC was looking for a partner to develop it with a building that would...

UD2 Noted There was a discussion about that parking lot in another thread earlier this year or last--it might have been Hullmark or possibly Gibson Square. That lot was originally to be for a second tower for the Nestle building, but I believe that the ownership has changed over the years...

Jivey asked: Look at the pages on the Hullmark thread for a discussion about how these beams are used for shoring. That work is much further progressed. They are also welding those beams before they lower them into the pit that the drilling rig is making (working on north side of the...

The view of the Delta will be gone by then too.

Taal: What do you mean by "...a proper grid network", in the context of the Avonshire road layout? Or are you talking about the entire NYCC neighbourhood here?

Your view to the North York City Centre (north) shows some of the original rental units on the north side of Oakburn Crescent. About half of these were removed for the current development--according to the Tridel website renderings posted on earlier pages, these will eventually be replaced by...

And when you are in one of the surrounding buildings, they will be towering over you...both sites are in wait mode this week because of all of the rain. Only minimal work is possible apparently. Hullmark is developing some mini pools with the wateraccumulating in some of the low spots; no...

    Toronto Toronto | Emerald Park Condos | 128.92m | 40s | Bazis | Rosario Varacalli

To follow up on the status of the work; several pieces of equipment have been brought on site this week including the deep foundateions machine to drill for the piles needed for the shoring (as noticed by McKarisma and confrimed by vz64 on the 18th). There is also a growing "pile" of piles...

This week there is a contractor removing the remaining tree stumps and the ashphalt from the existing parking lots. Not exactly excavation, but a beginning following the ground breaking.

Posted by Mithradate On cue this morning a large portable tent or gazebo was constructed on the site. Could not see what was going on inside--but by the afternoon there was a backhoe on the site as well. All is ready for the ceremony tomorrow.

hellogb asked Depending on where your unit is located in Spring, you might still have a view. It appears to me from the site plan on the Tridel Website that at least the south half of the Spring building will have a view between the two towers of Hullmark.
