Spoken like a true condo investor. You really think buildings should be built with the absolute lowest quality finishes that meet safety standards with no consideration of aesthetics? I know I wouldn't want to live in a cheap and ugly building. Having to look at the hideous grey spandrel wall at...

They put the first of the cladding and glass up today on the inner courtyard of the southwest tower. Didn't get a picture of it, will take one tomorrow if nobody else gets one first.

Looks like Staples is moving into the old Deciem building.

Yep, that's my problem with South Street, and many other burger joints. They overcook the hell out of their meat. Burger's Priest is always nice and juicy.

    St Lawrence Market

Pretentious or not, Burger's Priest is on a whole 'nother level when compared to South Street in my opinion.

Considering how nice the first tower is turning out, wouldn't it be nice if they applied to make the second tower that tall again? One can dream...

I for one, welcome a fast food option to the East Bayfront!

    Ontario Flag needs replacing

Strictly from a Vexillology perspective, this is a pretty significant downgrade. Obviously it was worth it to remove the racist part of the flag, but man, that new design breaks so many basic flag design rules.

They were probably referring to the city view of 222 The Esplanade or 33 Princess being blocked, not a lake view. But yes, no view is ever safe in a rapidly growing city.

They moved a block west a few years ago. Still there, until now apparently.

Apple Stores bring in the most money per square foot of any stores in the world by quite a huge margin IIRC, so you are well out of step with most. The sterile, clean, minimalist design makes sense to me. They want all the attention to be on the product. I do hate the smell of Apple Stores...

It’s still extremely early for that one. I’d guess it could be as many as 5-7 years before they break ground. I moved to the neighbourhood about 7 years ago, and what became Time and Space condos was about at the same stage that the Esso is at now.
