^ xD Exactly my point... It's almost like being too greedy and ending up with nothing. All anyone has to do is show that exact same list to someone else and their reaction might be a lot worse.

uUUUUUUuuuuuuuuugh Sorry, I started drooling xD But in all seriousness it would be sad and devastating if we end up with no supertalls guaranteed in the next year or so. My only worry is that if they manage to shoot down one proposal, for example the one most likely to be shot down might be...

Well THIS along with the recent developments over at 45 Bay is going to prove to be a hot time for supertalls in Toronto :D

http://blogs.montrealgazette.com/2012/12/11/ivanhoe-cambridge-to-make-a-splash-on-bay/ “We don’t need to pay more than the cost of building a building.” That sentence worries me. Yet Im not 100% sure what they mean. Anyone care to elaborate?

ugh I hope this doesnt come to be one of those supertall discussions that last for months only to be proven to be a multi tower 30 story glass box buildings and then we take another couple months to whine and moan because all our dreams have been shattered... that is until the next corner of a...

True, but there could be a positive. Though I liked the old design a new design at what is now a much more important and high valued location (especially after the sell) could end up with a much grander design. However, Toronto does have an odd and disturbing reputation of botching new...

    Toronto Toronto | Hullmark Centre | 167.94m | 45s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

Yeah this one deserves more attention than it has got. The spandrel is the only problem and that too doesn't look horrible and even somewhat compliments the buildings. Atleast it isnt the usual multicoloured shit xD Anyhow, great job so far on this one!

Lol this was sure a turn of events, 1 Younge has some great potential and lets just hope this doesn't become one typical toronto building

    Toronto Toronto | Central Condos | 138.98m | 46s | Concord Adex | DIALOG

So far, I sure do hate this...reminds me of the apartment buildings you can find in flemo park, except this is made with glass. Lets hope the podium will end up nice.

    Toronto Toronto | The Residences of 488 University Avenue | 206.95m | 55s | Amexon | Core Architects

Wow, that podium looks great! I wish they would have made it so that the tree structure was larger so that it enveloped much more of the building and reached higher up. Can't say too much about the building considering we can just see the the bottom but overall, this project just got a whole lot...

Toronto Toronto | CityPlace Puente de Luz Bridge | ?m | ?s | Concord Adex | Francisco Gazitua

I hate looking at this bridge from a distance because it doesn't look level.... is that the case or is it just me? It just makes it look poorly placed but the bridge itself looks good.

    Toronto Toronto | SIX50 King West | ?m | 16s | Freed | Core Architects

I think what they mean is that there is very little reason for anyone to go out of their way to fight this. Either way, the owner spends his own dime to install security cameras (which will probably make the inhabitants wary and uncomfortable). Think of all that Ford did to fight this, and he...

    Ajax Toronto | Vision at Pat Bayly Square | ?m | 25s | Medallion | Arcadis

This one is a go ahead and construction has already begun... Cant seem to find pictures of the buildings (which look a lot better now than previous renders) and other than that the proposal remains the same with the walkway, splash pad and so on...

    Toronto Toronto | Globe and Mail Headquarters: Never-Built | ?m | 18s | The Globe and Mail | KPMB

Can anyone tell me if this new building is being planned to be grander than the G&M original proposal? I know they want some commercial or "mini-eaton" but will this be tall?

    Toronto Toronto | Waterlink at Pier 27 | 43.89m | 14s | Cityzen | a—A

I'm going to have to disagree. True there are several new parks like the ones you mentioned but by no means do they result in a reason for people to come visit the waterfront on a regular basis. For example, Underpass park isnt even located on the waterfront. Furthermore whats the point of...

    Toronto Toronto | Waterlink at Pier 27 | 43.89m | 14s | Cityzen | a—A

I really hope that when they do re-purpose the parking lots near gardiner they will opt to go for parks rather than more condos...imagine a wall of shiny blue or green glass as you go down gardiner (worse than it is today)...Who would want to visit the waterfront then? Even with all the work to...

    Toronto Toronto | Union Park | 303.26m | 58s | Oxford Properties | Pelli Clarke Pelli

Who cares? It is just one thing that makes Toronto better as a city. There is no need to start comparing every stat and figure with other cities. And Toronto does have a unique Chinatown because it is more "asian" than most other chinatowns, where you would only find Chinese. In Toronto you have...

    Toronto Toronto | Union Park | 303.26m | 58s | Oxford Properties | Pelli Clarke Pelli

I don't understand why Toronto has to look like any other city....Why should buildings make us look like more of one city or another. ^Toronto will never look like that because it does not have the mountains or the desire to be like that. Toronto will be Toronto no matter what it builds...

It is ridiculous that they are doing "public consultations". As if they are going to take into consideration about anything they say. City council wants the casino but they simply aren't sure of themselves so they just bide their time until they realize how to do their own jobs.
