    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The most TTC will do is modify their onestop screens to display an "X" bound train, so if it goes out and the train is in the station, SOL

    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

There is no big need to keep an eye for the train's destination sign, because Steeles and Steeles West is just going to be another "short turn" station and even if you get on the wrong train, you can still be able to get off and wait for the appropriate train to come

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Eglinton will most likely go to pearson, as the Finch line will go to Humber college

    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

You better watch what you're saying, because there is a plan to extend the 7 flushing to Jersey, and this is an extension not only crossing city boundaries, but crossing state boundary too

    TTC: Sheppard Subway Expansion (Speculative)

I think we got the 2015 Pan-Am olympics and we will be laughed at big time because Mr. Ford smoked something before his announcement of a "Sheppard Extension"

    TTC Fare increase being considered

Lol at first I thought it was just a shop in the middle of no where

The Silly Argument Over BRT and Rail

Its possible to replace the central portion of King and Queen with the DRL as long as there are both Queen and King Street exits and then we could have the King/Queen West and East mentality like the bus routes

How far/long do you walk to transit?

It could start as an experiment like the introduction of a rush hour transfer with a 2 hour limit that you can use to transfer to other buses, or the obvious, transit system changes. The idea is that rush hour (between the hours of 7-9:30/10 and 2:45/3-8) could be used to see if ridership rises...

How far/long do you walk to transit?

That is quite true. The ridership on the 60 and 53 could mainly be people not wanting to pay TTC fare along with YRT fare, probably the same reason why some bus stops on Steeles where some routes that terminate north of Toronto are mainly filled with people not wanting to pay extra fare and...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

From a while ago in this topic, there was a problem that the arms would lower too frequently once LRT frequencies rise, and something about the crossing arms freezing over the winter (is there such a thing as heated crossing arms?)

Finch Avenue West: Opportunities for Improved Bus Service

I don't think Hydro One wants to be liable when this happens when one of the articulated buses, packed or half gets crushed under this

Finch Avenue West: Opportunities for Improved Bus Service

The hydro corridor is a bit iffy when it comes to thought, because it might be denied. The idea about hydro corridors around Toronto is that should any high voltage tower fall, almost no one would be within proximity hopefully, and that they take up space obviously due to their size and possibly...

Finch Avenue West: Opportunities for Improved Bus Service

Then the thing is that BRT lanes would just be a fancy rush hour only service because who wants to go to Finch station from Jane at 12:30AM with 100% guarantee of no vehicles

A Train That's Part Plane, Flying Inches From The Ground

I could see this as a very good candidate for a Toronto Crosstown system. We also got to move people from STC to Pearson in less than 30 minutes you know !

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

About the $49 M cancellation, that is the absolute minimum as in, best case scenario. Worst case scenario is paying >75% of the cancellation fees from Bombardier et al.

Old Backlit Subway Map @ York Mills Station

I presume it was from the late '80s early '90s era seeing as Downsview wasn't open until 1996

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Is pantograph incompatible with trolley wire run streetcars like the PCC? It would be a shame to have that yearly thing be gone permanently
  18. A

Finch Avenue West: Opportunities for Improved Bus Service

Which is why the 97 Yonge actually exists as it overlaps the subway since the Yonge North extension stations were 2km apart to save money. Efficiency loses as stop distance increases and the higher the need of an overlapping, redundant route goes. iirc, I had a reply somewhere that it would be...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Above ground will be expected in the SRT portion, since all you need is remove SRT technology, is the track gague LRT standard? extension and lowering of platform unless the tracks will be raised, and pantograph wires galore
