    Transit City Plan

So from what you are saying is that 4-6 car LRVs can't do the same if not better job than a subway?

Express service on Finch west... I can see it now 36A B and E all together at Finch and Dufferin. Tbh I feel the express service might be somewhat a 32E duplicate where almost no time is saved going to and from Yonge Street

    Toronto Toronto | Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

You won't be paying extra fare north of Steeles on the subway, since one of the post in the previous pages said that TTC will let you off without extra fare, but the YRT VIVA GO and possibly TTC bus terminals will be outside of the fare paid area

    Toronto Toronto | Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

York University said it wants ZERO buses when the subway opens, not YRT, VIVA, GO , or TTC's decision, but YORK UNIVERSITY The only operating buses in the campus will be their own buses

    Toronto Toronto | Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

Do stations north of Steeles West require standard double fare when exiting the station like the rest of TTCs buses serving Vaughan/Markham/Missisauga seeing as somewhere on this thread, it is stated that the TTC can take full revenue from north of Steeles

    Transit City Plan

At the moment, politics are interested in the suburban-like sheppard areas and not the downtown core I'm afraid

Despite what Ford says The Streetcar in Toronto is here to stay.

So what you're saying is that unless New York unveils something similar to transit city and goes all successful and happy while ignorant people like you would like to push subways when money is scarce and Toronto becomes known as pipe dream city because of the largely envisioned subway plan

    Yonge Line Weekend Shutdowns....

Its quite nice for the TTC to pack everyone on a Yonge shuttle or have then use the US portion of the subway followed by streetcars, when they could of taken advantage of the Bay route and somehow spread out the load so that Yonge isn't the only one bottlenecking as a direct N-S connection aside...

    New Streetcars

You could have the streetcars say "This is the eastbound 5xx bound for ...", but tbh, its a pain if you're going from say Kipling to Bay on the 501
  10. A

    Transit City Plan

Has anyone heard of something called a premetro in which you are pretty much forced to be in grade separation since they are just LRT lines with many characteristics of HRT such as grade separation, capacity comparing, etc. but you would need multiple cars of LRT to make it impossible to share...

    Monorail for Toronto

Can't you extend Dufferin from Bloor to St Clair, so that Bathurst Street isn't the only way to St. Clair, other than that, excellent plan, but all downtown routes have to share traffic unless we magically find another Spadina

Charges on Homes, Offices, Shops to Fund Rapid Transit

the Fordinites will cry bloody murder and will make the TTC have be like the 407 if any major project is to be done other than tc since its partially covered, and then they can stay happy for another 9 years until they notice that the price of gas hikes massively

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

The problem is that most of the shops/kiosks in the station are either a) convenience stores b)selling food and/or c) selling tourist items, and besides who would want to travel to X station to get a cinnabon unless the person is travelling there and wants it

    High Volume Intersection Study

IMO the first picture kinda looks like a cleaner, 4 lane version of spaghetti junction

    Transit Inspirations for Toronto

I would disagree on the bus part, because some routes were pretty much raised on artics so there should be an artic order to assist those BRT routes and even increase ridership

    Transit City: Sheppard East Debate

Sure, subway would cost less than TC but its not going to serve 700,000+ people in the entire city of Toronto unless Scarborough secretly decided to become a municipality of its own again voiding it. I think you should live anywhere that the TC routes are at risk of loss and commute to your...
