    Transit City Plan

So adding 32E 32G (Jane/Weston to possibly Pearson) 36E and 36G should solve our problems, since subways are deathly needed in Scarborough from Fairview to SCC and from there to Kennedy since transfers are so obsolete

Comparing transportation in NYC to Toronto

Its kind of for the sakes of simplicity especially to the new people. Take a person that never knew the New York subway system and give the person a map and tell the person to go from station A to station F and one would get confused by lines such as the L 3 7 E lines as opposed to the Sheppard...

I didn't really say Bombardier will cheap out, but there are some strict regulations on the TTC when it comes to vehicles such as long life span

    Downtown Rapid Transit Expansion Study

But they can pay the workers cheaper since there is a lack of human rights so price per km could be so low paying 2 dollars a day or hour

    Merry Christmas from Transit City!

When oil surpasses $150-$200 a barrel, they WILL unless they're all millionaires living it up in 905

    Transit City Plan

If it goes private, Sheppard will be filled in with dirt and SRT will be upgraded to the cheapest extent and everyone gets nothing but more fare hikes, possibly steeper

    Toronto | 1233 Queen East | ?m | 8s

TTC has a very specific taste when it comes to life, so if Bombardier cheaps out on the TTC, lets say it won't be very pretty 10-15 years down the road

    Transit City Plan

I best hope you be trolling, because buses run on diesel brt or not and to keep your smart brt systems running is to raise the fares according to the rising price of diesel since its not freely provided by the government, transit city (tramsit city if you prefer) would draw from electricity (not...

    Merry Christmas from Transit City!

I don't really get what is wrong with Spadina since I see the streetcars coming as in within a minute or two, but then again, I haven't been in rush hour other than the beginning of PM rush

    FIXING Transit City

Like what was being talked about in this topic or some other topic about integration of ECLRT and SLRT

New Meets Old even though they are both completely different modes of transport

I was also there at night, but the problem is that the train is full of gravy. I wonder how people would get in?

But at the price of much higher taxes, since the job is build it, make money, and drink off the province/city's money.

    Toronto Toronto | Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

I thought it was a reference to parking lots, but I agree about the vacant land being quite wasteful, maybe like a small amount surrounding the station entrance could be nice, and the response to the giant station, I think TTC is trying to make it look like some sort anti-claustrophobic space...

'Pocket airports' would link neighborhoods by air

Until some person has died since their body can't keep up with the amount of Gs involved.

But in median LRT helps the driver in rush hour count how many LRVs passed by them in their direction!
  17. A

    Toronto Toronto | Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

two words. Rush hour. Also, the place where the Spadina extension goes is the edge of the pro car suburbs, and people won't ditch their cars for a Viva/YRT bus to a station, but prefer park and ride, and then YRT could increase service for higher demands and then YRT/Viva would be needing more...

    FIXING Transit City

and where will the busways be? oh thats right! sharing car lanes! well thats bad, lets tunnel it! Serious talk though, where will you find the space to operate a busway since Toronto is well developed and there are only few dead highway corridors and preserved urban areas.

Despite what Ford says The Streetcar in Toronto is here to stay.

It was GM to be honest, and why? most streetcar routes are running near or at streetcar capacity and buses are so small in length.

    Poll: Renaming Yonge-University-Spadina

Might as well call it Yonge-University-Vaughan if theres another Spadina extension within 50 years.
