Just walked by and the spray was terrible to the point you couldn't stand or sit on the north or east sides. But the winds were particularly bad tonight, so I'm hoping not a regular problem. And yes, the stream of water down to Front Street was creating puddles. But it's fun. Was thinking...

I saw this too. It was blocked off because they were painting yellow on the edge of the steps.

As was mentioned in a comment on the YouTube video, the 1904 fire was in the evening, and so the first part of the film was likely not the initial response to the fire.

I noticed a crew inspecting the Front Street facade the other day and was wondering if it had anything to do with the green discolouration clearly visible. Is this oxidation?

Don't think so. Far too much water and not enough rain. My guess was testing for leaks.
