Red paint does not a BRT make. Especially for a city like Brampton that has much higher standards for its public transit. (Whether it meets those standards is a question for another thread.)

Toronto Toronto | New Park at 229 Richmond West | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | Gow Hastings

I find it pretty rich that the River Park "pays homage" to a river buried in the area by... keeping it covered with hardscaping and adding a token trickle through the site. So far my favourite is Wàwàtesí, if only because it has a large vegetated area as the centerpiece. However, they all kind...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

It would be cool if they opened Finch West and Eglinton at the same time, so they only have to update the system map once.

    Barrie Collingwood Railway (BCRY)

As much as I want GO service extended down BCRY, I think the funds just aren't there right now to get started on it. More important for the Barrie line is adding passing tracks, building stations at Innisfil/Mulock/Concord/Lansdowne, and the Bradford layover facility. I'm glad it's not being...

Roads: Ambassador & Gordie Howe Bridges

It was an agreement made between the state government of Michigan and the federal government of Canada, so it's perfectly accurate and correct. Also, it's spelled Michiganders.

    TTC: Jane (LRT) RapidTO

"Subways subways subways" was from 15 years ago?

    Toronto 123 Wynford Drive | 176.95m | 52s | Originate | Kirkor

...axing 97 multiple-bedroom suites for 53 studios and 42 one-bedrooms is pretty antithetical to the City's more-bedrooms-per-unit mantra as well.

    TTC: Jane (LRT) RapidTO

Will we get additional return on investment from a grade-separated line that we won't get from a separated, ground-level corridor? Especially in areas where we have a wide right-of-way and limited opportunities to intensify, like over the Kitchener GO tracks. Yes, we should have fast reliable...

    TTC: Jane (LRT) RapidTO

We're not elevating Finch West, though. Tracks are being laid in the median already, no sense changing that now. And east of Keele, there's really nowhere that warrants grade separation more than the rest of the corridor until you reach Bathurst to the east. Back to the thread's topic...

    Markham Toronto | Langstaff Gateway | ?m | ?s | Condor Properties Ltd | IBI Group

We should be doing the opposite of whatever Saudi Arabia does.

Or they would try to go for 26-28 storeys and end up having to compromise with Planning at 16.

    Mississauga Toronto | 1535 Dundas Street East | ?m | 55s | Terracap Management | Gensler

Glad that they have retail and community uses proposed for the lowest floors, and not live-work or townhouses.

    Guelph Toronto | 220 Arkell Road | ?m | ?s | Rockpoint

West of Victoria Road South, not east. East of Victoria is outside the city limits, and there's no chance that Guelph is going to expand its city boundaries anytime soon. Looks like the site currently is a lone McMansion wedged between two developments; glad to see a proposal to help bridge the...

    Toronto Toronto | Winona Park Townhomes | ?m | 4s | Diamond Realty Developers | CMV

I am joking. The promo material sounded robotic and generic, so I mused it was an early version of an AI tasked to write a blurb for a modern townhouse project. Then again, there was a recent case in the US where a law firm was caught using ChatGPT to write an argument...

    Toronto Toronto | Winona Park Townhomes | ?m | 4s | Diamond Realty Developers | CMV

Turns out marketing via ChatGPT is not a viable business strategy. Who would have thought?

    Vaughan Toronto | 8083 Jane | 200m | 60s | MPAR Developments | SvN

Sixty stories, this deep into the existing industrial area? Nutty. With such a long walk to Line 1, and no VIVA yet along Jane Street, what's even the appeal of this area? Plus, that park just sucks.

    Brampton Toronto | Embleton Community Centre | ?m | ?s | City of Brampton | Perkins&Will

From the looks of it, the Peel School Board wants to build said new high school right next to the community centre. The light purple area in the conceptual site layout is the proposed location for a high school that is intended to be finished by 2027.

    Markham Toronto | Buttonville Airport Redevelopment | ?m | 1s | Cadillac Fairview | Glenn Piotrowski Architect

Considering it's right next to the 404, and surrounded by existing office/industrial uses, I would rather it be industrial/manufacturing space than an isolated high-rise village. If there's any land in Markham that needs to be rezoned to higher density mixed use, there are plenty of better...

    Hamilton Toronto | Beach Boulevard Townhouses | 12.38m | 3s | Sentry Group | CZA

The "rear" backs onto a trail, which itself runs right along Lake Ontario. This hides the garages from the trail and lakeshore. They're also set back from the front doors, so they're less of a centerpiece of the front profile. Looks good to me.
