    Arc Smart Fare System

Not sure I agree. The tickets are one time use, just like the old paper tickets, which differs from the cards which can be used and refilled for much longer. They ought to be different. This is quite common from what I’ve seen.

Arc cards are plastic, arc tickets are not

Urban National Park Option for the River Valley

Try to find a table at Hawrelak on a hot summer afternoon, it's not easy (or possible, often).

    Roundabouts Discussion

I’m not so sure about that one, 2-lane roundabouts can handle up to 50-60 thousand cars per day which works here, although is likely already near that upper limit. The real issue is 114th up to University Ave which is dependably gridlocked every single morning because of the Uni Av level...

The hostility seems unnecessary, it's a valid question

Urban National Park Option for the River Valley

Would I be incorrect if I believed that most private river valley courses are on leased city land? I remember some talk a few years ago about an extension to the Mayfair lease of 18 years coming at a cost of around 800,000.

I had to do a double take, never seen Groat from that angle

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

Yeah, he’s definitely been to Calgary by now but not Edmonton if I recall correctly

    Edmonton | Westrich McKernan-Belgravia | 22m | 6s | Westrich Pacific Corp. | JS Architect

Exactly. Can’t wait for the neighbourhood newsletter article featuring the president airing their grievances about this one like they do with every development.

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

That’s kinda why I’m confused, I mean it’s not like 122 St is known for being super busy so it won’t get backed up or anything but why not take advantage of the faster dedicated lanes. My only guess is they don’t want the buses to have to cross 3 lanes of traffic between Terwillegar and Fox dr.

At least you can make use of a sack of hammers

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

I wonder why they’re using 122 St rather than Fox Dr which has a bus lane.

    Car-Free Streets

Just because you prefer to drive doesn’t mean that every single street needs to accommodate your transportation needs first and foremost. I’m honestly indifferent to 102 Ave pedestrianization at this point and think it’s a low priority but this sentiment is just dumb and tired.

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Ok well first of all the 80 is just the hypothetical top speed the current trains might be able to run at, I’m not sure if your calculations take into account the existing LRT from downtown to century park which at no point exceeds 70 km/h and likely has an average speed no higher than 50 km/h...

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

I’m sure if the CoE decides to develop the south rural area they own (I really hope that never happens) then that’d be a good reason to have LRT run down south terminating at the airport but for a connection from downtown to the airport in the foreseeable future, heavy rail is the way to go...

    Edmonton | Windsor Terrace | ?m | 12s | Pagaro Investments | Hodgson Schilf Evans

Idk, when I pass by this one in person it doesn’t spark joy in me like maclab Garneau or one12 has been, the brick just really bothers me. Not sure why, I think it’s just too busy

Can see Tawatinâ bridge all the way from Kaffa cafe (88 Av, second floor above redbike), trains zipping over every 5 mins each way. If I didn't know better I'd think the slope above the tunnel entrance was burnt or something, in my dream world that'd all be wildflowers
