Thanks, Northern! If there are further things that I find out, that I am able to share, I will do so, as I learn about them,

The seniors may well not be happy. However, it was not the City who evicted them, it was the developer, and that was 3 years ago. And there WILL be some renovation, more in some units than others. Occupancy will begin in May, on a little under half of the units, with the second phase moving...

Surprisingly un-Brampton-like! I mean that in a good way....

I I'm on a City of Toronto committee with her. I just might do that!

Yes please to the beautification of St. Mary St. as part of this deal. If/when this project does ahead, I will be a next-door neighbour, and would much appreciate a facelift (for the street, not me!! lol).

Thanks, when I get "like that" is usually because those "rare individuals" have irritated me to the point that I must reply. I have a sharp tongue, but I use it sparingly. Something I had to learn the hard way!

I will confess that my comments are often "impregnated", as you say. If things can be left implicit rather than explicit, only a few will read the entire message, so to speak!

Aaaand....back to the matter at hand... As someone politely asked in the midst of that "sidebar", where are the pics, etc., for the revised proposal?

That, then, is preference not to use the tools she has been given. In other words, it's "car-centric". I work on the City's accessibility committee, and this argument would not fly.

Exactly. The residents will be walking, biking or taking transit. Therefore NOT adding to vehicular street congestion.

I'm feeling quite conflicted about this. I am originally of the "let the city turn all of it into a park" side of the argument. However, post-Covid, the city is not and is not likely to be able to pull together the required funding to pull it off. The kind of money required to construct the...

    *Wild* Plants of Toronto

Thanks for this Forum Page! I'm a bit of a plant nerd, but not to the extent that you are. And I know the native plants of Oxford County far better than here.

I live diagonally SW of The One, and I'm eagerly awaiting the first day of being able to see the top of the crane from my relatively low floor on St. Mary Street. My guess/hope is that with the next crane lift, It will then be in sight. Is it silly to feel such excitement? Perhaps. But Covid...

True, but doesn't Mizrahi own all of the remaining older buildings immediately south as well? I do recall that a knock-out wall was added in the south wall of the parking garage, implying the possibility of a Two for One.
