I have four articles on this proposal: mississauga.com, insauga.com, crownrealitypartners.com & dailyhive.com The site as it currently stands: The 6.4 acre site hosts a 9 story office building, a connected strip mall, two 2 story buildings, and one 1 story heritage building - a pub called The...

Was just about to make a thread on this and then I found this thread. I find this a weird proposal... I'm all for densification, but the location is a bit odd here. Being on the backside of what is essentially a large strip mall is a bit strange... some of the ground level renders look nice. If...

I seriously want a place here one day... that is not feasible now lol. It's probably sold out as well. But this is one of the best projects currently in the city. Just beautiful. I can't wait to come visit.

Personally, I really like this proposal but I actually do agree with you on the all glass podium to tower trend. There are some beautiful all glass towers and proposals but the all glass everything is really overdone. I would like to see more brickwork and stone, concrete, what have you...

I think if I never saw the 1st version and only saw this new version, I would appreciate the new version more. I'm not an architectural student or anything, but I also remember the well getting flack for the fake diagonal bracing... I at least personally appreciated the aesthetic of it... just...

I see from the comments that city council had some pushback to this proposal but I really hope when it's all said and done that it ends up something similar to what is proposed currently. Really think this is a beautiful building, and especially like the lights at the top.

You know I have to agree with you that most of what gets built is inoffensive to awful. I agree, the redesign is inoffensive. But for me that's where the disappointment is. I thought the previous iteration was genuinely great. You are right though. Most of Toronto architecture doesn't really...

I'm honestly still just a bit disappointed in the redesign here. It's not even the presence of extra balconies, but I the change in shape and design. I was really looking forward to SkyTower as previously planned. I thought, wow, that will be a beauty on the skyline given its size and...

Really looking forward to this project, I think it'll be a nice addition. The renderings leave me hopeful but slightly cautious. It'd be nice to see a rendering during the daytime as opposed to dawn or dusk... will the building actually look this warm? If so, I will be pleased.

I think this makes sense. Anywhere a mall resides with large swaths of parking should be transformed into a mixed community. I'd add even more density here but yeah, maybe infrastructure is not up to par for more.

It looks like I'm in the minority on this one but I actually like this proposal. I agree with above^, not everything can be retained in a city, and not everything old is necessarily beautiful. Although, I think this church is fine. I don't usually like projects with builds over top an old...

    Mississauga Toronto | Square One District | ?m | 65s | Oxford Properties | Hariri Pontarini

Doug Ford just said that a developer would have to pitch in for the LRT loop. If the loop were to be reinstated, how do you guys think that would influence this square one district development? If it's Oxford that owns all this land, I don't know if they're going to want to pitch in for public...

Meant to reply to this earlier but got sidetracked. I completely agree with what you're saying. I had no idea the Papillion Place was also done by Pemberton, but I guess it's not surprising. All of their projects in this area have been tower in the park designs. I can almost forgive Papillion...

    Toronto Toronto | Aqualuna at Bayside | 61.87m | 18s | Tridel | 3XN

This is one of my most anticipated projects. I really love the warmth in the colouring and detail put into the balconies. The shape of the two mounds, how the building plays with curves. The brief glimpses at the interior look promising. The views will be stunning... just overall beautiful...

    Toronto Toronto | Love Park | 3m | 1s | City of Toronto

If this comes out close to rendering, I can see it becoming an iconic spot in Toronto. One that would be recognizable... I can see locals going but even more so tourists... I can see it being a spot where they'll film scenes for movies that are shooting in Toronto.

It's been almost a year since an update on this project. Anyone near have a picture of further development on site? I like the increase of density on this plot, but I'm not so crazy about the design.

It's been a while since I've been there so my memory is hazy, but I think Absinthe was the underground bar at the food court? I remember there was a cafe right beside it that had some indoor seating with a nice window. There may have been a patio outside of there as well? I never actually went...

    Mississauga Toronto | The Kith and Kindred Condominiums | ?m | 25s | Daniels | Kirkor

No I completely understand, just considering we went from the top quote at first proposal, to the second quote of which is now in pre-construction, it just feels like a shame... the original design made more of a statement and felt more in line with what was done at the Arc across the street...
  19. Don Coyote

    Mississauga Toronto | Erin Square Condos | ?m | 21s | Pemberton

I feel like the architecture is just very very average. Not necessarily bad but not necessarily good either.... but maybe leaning more so to bad. It's like it wants to be there but have no relationship with the outside community.... unless something changes towards its completion, there is only...

Does anyone have any idea what's even going on with the development of this entertainment complex? It sounded like such an good idea, but it looks like development is just... stalled? I walked by recently and noticed a bit of a footpath along the top floor at the Marshalls entrance, but other...
