I see the opportunity to link the heart of Strathcona to the rest of our rail network (especially directly to Downtown and Wihkwentowin) to be a huge strength of this route. I'd also like to see this stop in the south once or twice (much like the UP's stops at Bloor and Weston in Toronto).

This is a false dichotomy. We also "spend" limited resources through the opportunity cost of not collecting revenue. It is reasonable to discuss generating sufficient revenue to have schools, hospitals AND trains.

This is adjacent to a ton of cultural amenities for Indigenous and newcomer communities (particularly for African, Black and Asia Pacific folks). I can see a lot of recent arrivals in Edmonton renting here for both that and affordability.
