The building materials have already showed up and it's under construction.... so people (not me but coaster fanatics) can already see that it's a roller coaster of some sort based on the materials, building techniques and layout.

It's interesting. I was checking out some of the coaster enthusiast forums... they have a lot of educated guesses (like you posted) but they seem to still be arguing about the type of coaster it will be. They seem surprised that Wonderland has been able to keep it under wraps for so long.

By the way, I'm VERY pleased to see this in the Projects & Construction forum where it belongs!

    Love/Hate Ford

I know two people that voted for Rob Ford that are saying they hate him now. I don't know if that is just a coincidence though. I don't think they really knew too much about him before voting for him though.

I tried asking this too before everything got derailed... I'm still kinda confused over when the construction is starting.

LA has that much?!?! Well, now that finally settles the age old argument of how little all of this has to do with the proposed buildings at 156 Front Street!

    Toronto/Montreal comparisons (ain't pretty...)

haha so true. "I saw the street sign that says MELROSE PLACE! What a great city!"

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Yep. He said he wouldn't have to cut any major services to reduce spending. It was a complete lie that any person with even half a brain could see through. Clearly, the people that voted for him didn't have the brains.

Are they still planning on starting construction this summer?

Awesome! It takes so much care and skill to move a building without damaging it... can't wait for more updates!

    Toronto Toronto | MaRS Centre Phase 2 | 112.77m | 20s | Alexandria | B+H

Now THIS is the biggest news I've heard of in a while! Having this unfinished was the most unfortunate things to see so I'm so happy to see work is going to resume on it! It's just much more important than any condo announcement in my eyes.

    Toronto Toronto | L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

It's pretty complicated compared to most condos, especially the lower levels

    Toronto Toronto | Picasso Condos | 128.62m | 39s | Mattamy Homes | Teeple Architects

The old one was better by far... however, if someone showed me the new one and I didn't know the old one existed, then I would say it's excellent. So going by that, it's pretty darn good!

    Toronto/Chicago comparisons

It's definitely all opinion. When my wife moved here from NYC, she said that the restaurants in Toronto are the most obvious advantage Toronto has over New York. I definitely agree with her. I almost killed myself trying to find good Indian food in NYC.. and Chinese food... etc.. It may be...

I'm sure that he meant it was a waste aesthetically, not in terms of density or use.

Very nice tower. I wish it was much taller so it would be more visible.

    Toronto's Ugliest Building

OCAD is one of my favorite buildings in all of North America. It achieves everything it is supposed to and looks like it was dropped effortlessly into the surrounding area.
