These bridges, while not overly complex in design, I think will be landmarks - I can't even imagine they were that costly - kudos to the design team behind these !

Before we all get too excited - check out the prices of the units here (mind you they are very large) but this is very much a luxury development so I don't see this repeating unfortunately

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

Is this actually a huge surprise ? Were the numbers pre-pandemic - if so, I've seen costs jump anywhere from 20-60% depending on the type of work (speaking from the perspective of capital projects in a condominium) - this is backed by CCI presentations and the like.

    Toronto Toronto | Clare R. Copeland Transformer Station | ?m | ?s | Toronto Hydro | Arcadis

Whatever happened with this, did the park actually open ?

    Toronto Toronto | The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

It truly does ! My big fear though, will it actually be a success ? I'm not so sure about that yet. The good news being the built form is done regardless of the financial viability i.e. we win :)

    Toronto Toronto | Quayside: Timber House | 49.2m | 12s | Dream | David Adjaye

This isn't actually going to start construction anytime soon is it ? And no, running is great for you, don't listen :) - sure if you're running 50KM a week you need to take some care but even then ...

Toronto Toronto | New Park at 229 Richmond West | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | Gow Hastings

It's interesting as opensky with more greenery even looks like it would have been a cheaper option.

    Junction Triangle

    Is that a construction site ? :) I jest.

Agreed completely and this area i.e. NYCC - restaurants tend to do really well (yes there are nuances here i.e. what type and the like) - look at how many there are between Finch and Sheppard ... also note how few vacancies ... compare that too many other areas in the city ... so the potential...

    Toronto Toronto | 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

I have to say, it looks so much better with the TD logo vs the blank black square we saw before - yes it's not ideal, but I honestly felt it ruined the building prior to this being turned on. I guess this is a lot cheaper if tenants change :D

    Toronto Toronto | Queen & Ashbridge | 60.15m | 17s | Context Development | Teeple Architects

hmm, ok, I'm sure I need to see this in person, but is it actually that bad ? :) The darker black window frames are nice. I think this cladding type can actually look pretty good if executed well i.e. spacing between panels and the like, this is probably the issue here.

    Toronto Toronto House | 186.53m | 58s | Allied | Hariri Pontarini

It does ! Maybe just 1.5/2x the height of the office buildings in that view.

    Toronto Toronto | Aqualuna at Bayside | 61.87m | 18s | Tridel | 3XN

I think that's pretty unfortunate, it looks ok in the render above as it's making the rest of the cladding look much darker than it actually is - which by the way to be clear, I love (the actual cladding colour). But the white is going to stand out, you can already see it in the pictures above.

    Toronto Toronto | Aqualuna at Bayside | 61.87m | 18s | Tridel | 3XN

I'm a bit worried about the undersides of the balcony - could they paint them orange / copper ? Otherwise I think the plain white will stand out.

    Toronto Toronto | FlyOver Canada | 25.02m | 4s | CLC | Sturgess

Just a simple question for you; Can you share the evidence you have that indicates what you're describing is indeed the case ? i.e. that they have patiently and quietly been waiting on the city for 3 years for a response on their final application vs they are still securing financing or...

    Toronto Toronto | FlyOver Canada | 25.02m | 4s | CLC | Sturgess

I appreciated it :) Only selfishly in the sense that this project is claimed to be the one delaying the required repairs for the salmon run fountain

    Toronto Toronto | Mirvish Village (Honest Ed's Redevelopment) | 85.04m | 26s | Westbank | Henriquez Partners

I mean this project is 90% done at this point ? What would a realistic outcome be, it get' sold and converted to condos ? Surely it's not going to just sit empty or be demolished ?

    Toronto Toronto | 8 Wellesley | Residences at Yonge | 182.15m | 55s | CentreCourt | Arcadis

Really ? I like it, dark precast panels, quite a bit of variation (leaning on the messy side) but I'll take it !

    Toronto Toronto | Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Will there actually be curved glass on this one ?
