Same, a bit more cladding before I'm making any decision. Does anyone know if this cladding is here to stay or if there's still the possibility it won't be up to code? Seems they've added more than any of the previous attempts.

I don't know anything about the sculpture other than what the pictures show, but that last photo of it sure makes it look like quite the evolutionary tale. Can't wait to see it revealed - it looks rather significant compared to most "art" installations we've been getting with our condos.

I just want to say that whoever outed brockm, whether in full or in part; that's a nasty, low move. That's all.

Why would they, out of curiosity? To them, 300 metres is an arbitrary number. It's only in circles like this where the 300 number means anything. And even then it's usually just a "member-size" competition.

I second this - FAQ. Not just because people have to give out the same answers numerous times but more so because I think it would be a great reference point for both UT members and for other random visitors to the site. The definitive guide to construction in Toronto.

All I can say is wow! Good on MOD for doing this restoration. So far I'm impressed.

Toronto Toronto | CityPlace Puente de Luz Bridge | ?m | ?s | Concord Adex | Francisco Gazitua

It is very much a "Donkey Kong" bridge, but it serves an important purpose. I don't mind the looks of it myself.

There was an article from a newspaper linked earlier in this thread somewhere. I think it was a Calgary regional paper of some sort. Basically, they were comparing that bridge with the one here. If I remember correctly, much of the article was complaining that the bridge in Calgary cost much...

I know this is off topic, but thanks for that DSC. I was unaware and am very happy to hear this great news!

Nope, your sarcasm detector is functioning fine. My point was that it seems like we're spending money on a new water feature at City Hall when it already has one, although for a different purpose, and that it's too bad we can't keep the fountains on University at Queen in decent condition or...

I don't understand why we need a new fountain here when we have a perfectly functional one just a block west of here on University Ave.

What a disgusting concrete wall it presents to Adelaide Street. :(

    Toronto Toronto | 88 Scott Street | 203.9m | 58s | Concert | P + S / IBI

I think one of the main reasons they changed the top of this was because of shadow impacts. I doubt we'll be seeing a height increase.

    Toronto Toronto | 88 Scott Street | 203.9m | 58s | Concert | P + S / IBI

I've come around on this redesign. At first I was a bit surprised by it because I had one idea in my head that was put forward by the previous version. The new design seemed to break what my idea of this tower was. Looking at it again with fresh eyes, it's something different, seemingly no...

Lot of people hating this one. While I don't expect a lot from these architects, I'm going to wait until there's a rendering for this one before making any judgements. There's a few details in it that I'd like to see in 3D perspective and colour.

    Toronto Toronto | Eau du Soleil Condos | 227.98m | 66s | Empire | Richmond Architects

I know it's only a preliminary design, but I think it suffers from not knowing how to blend elements. The podium to me seems confused about how it's going to become the tower portion in a fluent manner that makes sense, so its decided that it'll try to blend right into the tower in a rather...

Render looks real good, Andrew. The curves are definitely visible. I've finally moved away from Truespace and am dabbling in Blender now.

Something doesn't quite sound right here. That's 7 floors of parking in total for just 33 spaces?
