    Calgary in the International Press

In our local press, but related to an international report. https://calgaryherald.com/news/economy/three-canadian-cities-rank-among-worlds-10-most-family-friendly-cities-but-toronto-and-vancouver-didnt-make-the-cut/wcm/5bf7cd71-6ffa-4e06-b794-c6ba129da5d2

    Calgary & Alberta Economy

Good to see the industry getting a lift. Ultimately I'd like to see the industry pick up to the point where they're at least not laying off anymore people, and even hiring again, but I don't think another crazy oil boom would be good. We need to ween ourselves off the oil industry eventually.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

That first pic highlights how much Calgary could use some development on those empty lots.

    Calgary | ALT Hotel University District | 48.77m | 15s | Groupe Germain

I bet they go with modular. If so it'll be cool to watch how quickly it goes up.

Not near as good as the one by @dibijoist , but.....

    Daily Photo Dose

It depends what part of Calgary. I find my neighborhood it's close to 50%, but yah, Ontario they seem to go for it especially in the smaller cities and towns.

    Calgary | The Grid | 50m | 16s | NORR

It’s a bunch of political red tape and battling between policy makers. Realistically 22 floors down in the Inglewood area is nowhere near a threat to the airports flight path. An aircraft flying that low in the area is highly unusual and a bigger issue to worry about.

    General Construction Updates

Oh darn, I thought this was a crane going up at Place 10. On the flipside, a 300 person rooftop terrace is really cool.

    Calgary | RNDSQR Block | 44.8m | 12s | RNDSQR | 5468796 Architecture

I'm not saying you're wrong, as this scale is new territory for RNDSQR, compared to the smaller projects they've done in the past, but all developers start out with smaller projects. Battistella started out doing infills. Courtyard 33 will be a good indicator. While not as large as this, it's a...

    Calgary | RNDSQR Block | 44.8m | 12s | RNDSQR | 5468796 Architecture

It has to be a somewhere between type solution. The developer has to gamble a fair bit of money to do concurrent LOC and DP, and this would be a problem for a lot of developers, but I hear what you are saying. Possibly developers can be allowed to do a land use based on a concept, but the...

    Calgary | 933 - 5Th Ave | 34.14m | 9s | HomeSpace | IBI Group

When my daughter was a toddler we were living across from Nova/Luna when they were being built. She spend a lot of time watching the action, and used to always point at the site saying 'look daddy, guys working!' lol.

    Calgary | Steps Bridgeland | 18m | 6s | Giustini Development | Sturgess

Excellent! Not that I didn't think it was going ahead, but this kinda seals it.

Tokyo Smoke and Onyx and Ivory alone is a good addition to 9th.

    Big time upgrade.

    Calgary | Cube | 25.91m | 7s | Strategic Group

Same with The Inglewood one, and the one one Centre Street (Centro I think it's called)

    Calgary | Hat @ 14th Street | 94.48m | 28s | Cidex Group | NORR

With this, the one across the street to the north, and the Bronconnier proposal to the west, it should breath some life into the area. What do the colors look like? Same as The Hat EV?

Too bad it's wood framed. I assumed this would be concrete for some reason. Either way it'll still look good.
