This is definitely going to transform the city's core. With LRT completed, Jasper Ave and Quarters/McCauley neighbourhood reconstructed.

    Federal Politics

Already voted :) Unfortunately no hope for progressive candidate in Riverbend. The majority of progressive votes are split between LIB & NDP. CON will get elected, again, with less than 50%. Thanks JT for not keeping his promise to change the electoral system.

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

Finally this area is getting fixed. This is the most horrendous part of the city.

Calgary's network is twice as long, 59km as opposed to 24km in Edmonton, hence triple the ridership.

Calgary and rural will vote for UCP again so whatever.. People deserve this mess.

As of 2016, Millwoods population is 120,000 people. There must be a reliable transportation to move that many people. Buses alone will not do that. You can't put a suburban style train racks in the middle of our core neighbourhoods. Low floor trains fit perfectly and don't separate...

It actually takes closer to 50 mins from millwoods to downtown by bus in the morning. You as well have to walk to the bus station. Parking in downtown costs $300 a month on average. Not everyone can afford it. That's why our laughable LRT network is the busiest in North America. We can cry...

They said it should take as much time as driving a car to downtown from millwoods, so not that slow tbh.

    Municipal Politics

Avoiding tax hikes, small-scale infrastructure = no investment in infrastructure and public transit? Or I don't understand something?

It's not like the city is building those houses. It's building the infrastructure. In regards to Jasper ave, that stretch from 116 to 124 street is so ugly and disgusting, it makes me so made that the funding hasn't even been allocated to fix that third-world looking street.

    Strathcona Back Street | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

I really enjoyed this area over the weekend. It was very busy! You really had to watch for bikes too. So many people using bike lanes! It's day and night compared to what it used to be prior to the neighbourhood renewal project!
