I hope Magic Lantern would pick this theatre up but in my heart, I doubt it.

    The Canadian Penny ( 1858-2012 )

One of the most controversial subjects in Canadian history: the penny. Ok, its not that "controversial". Recently, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty announced during 2012 budget on Thursday that the penny will be retired from circulation in 2012 due to cost cutting measures. I won't miss the penny...

    Department Stores then and now

Now the store is a fitness centre and you can still see the remnants at the entrance like the green floor and iron handrails leading to the basement. I remembered it was a messy store just like its competitors like Woolworth and Bargain Harold's.

Yeah, those Time Play ads at the Scotiabank. The boss of Time Play is the same person who founded Playdium; the same company that supplies Cineplex with arcade games.

Movie Theatres in Toronto - Old and New

I highly doubt any American or foreign chains would want to expand to Canada since Cineplex owns 70% of the marketplace. I think those theatres would ideal for Empire Theatres or Landmark Theatres of Canada to expand in Ontario.

    Scotiabank Cinema

Cineplex has already begin to have their staff patrolling the Scotiabank theatre for anti piracy measures and other disturbances. Also checking for sound and picture quality for each theatre. They will go up and down the stairs for every 30 minutes during the screening. As for my personal...

City councillors wants to ban shark fin soup

As a Canadian born to Chinese parents, I don't really mind about shark fin soup ban but however I found the threat somewhat nonsensical. For example in the threat, it states e-coli is a "virus" instead of bacteria and warn the Chinese community not to eat at the Mandarin. Since when the Mandarin...
