No it's not just you that feels that way. I pass by quite often and I'm amazed at how ginormus this building looks. At 15 more floors, 1 Bloor East will most certainly be even more astounding when the height differential of the surrounding buildings will be taken into account!

What's going on here, this tower seems to have stalled in it's tracks? It's relationship to the KPMG tower of BA, heightwise, seems not to have changed in what seems eons. Maybe they've decided to cut it short. Too much competition Donald, Alex?

Add me to those that are disappointed by the poorly designed top. A wonderful tower looking like a decapitated Marilyn. For God's sake, it looks like a bottle cap from a generic bottle of 10 cent water.

These buildings aren't nearly as bad as they were painted by many posters on the Centro thread in the forum section of U.T. The use of vibrant colour helps them rise well above mediocrity.

Just as every human has an ego so I believe do the developers. I can see Great Gulf wanting a higher tower so they can metaphorically make the statement to the developers of Trump and Aura "Mine is bigger than yours". Jeez, did I just break UT's code of conduct? Sorry!

Bull in the China shop? More like the elephant! Simply overpowers the streetscape. However, nice design.

I have a strange feeling that 1 Bloor East is probably working on a height increase. The prestige of having the highest residential building in Canada would probably be a big feather in Great Gulf Homes hat. IMHO:)

I've been waiting to contribute my two cents as a first post. I don't understand why so many people don't like this building. It's great! It's colourful, wonderful setbacks, textures, curves, definitely not your run of the mill box. To all you Trump haters, in the spirit of the season " Bah...
