I know for certain that they want the park to be fully complete by Terry Fox day, which is sometime in September.

If the bill to electrify the corridor is only between 100 - 200 million, I say we do it... thats not really that much money in the grand scheme of things. I completely agree that a high speed rail connection to the airport is necessary, but if we really want to get into the 21st century...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Thanks for the info. That the improvements should allow trains to move through at twice the speed is quite impressive if it comes through as projected. I remember from my time taking the train that as soon as you hit Bathurst the train will start to slow down, and then coast the rest of the...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

It doesnt look like there is a copy online and unfortunately, I don't have a scanner. I will take some pics and post them a little later on... :) Im not sure if its strictly going to residents in the downtown core, but it seems like they are trying to tell residents in the affected areas...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

So did anyone get this "Union Station Rail Corridor: 2009 Work Schedule" in the mail as of yet? I got one today and its got a very nice presentation and some solid content as well. But my question is, to those who have seen it/know its contents, are all of the track improvements listed part of...

    Province eyes Metrolinx shakeup

Hey now... and who exactly do we have to thank for Downsview being turned into a world class, 21st century urban park!? Jean Chretien man! Have you seen how beautiful the park is now that is it complete!?

    Yup... just as I predicted!

What could this be about... I hope it's not too lame... like, 'oh, together we ordered five more of these shiny new locomotives, so we can move 1500 extra people each run. Look, we Conservatives care about public transit!' My real hope is the announcement for the electrification of the...

And thats why we need to wonder if tolls should be in place in a similar fashion to what the Netherlands is testing right now... GPS based tracking and tolling. Skymeter are the pioneers of this I think... and it seems interesting and highly flexible. Certain times of day cost a certain amount...

    Toronto Waste Crisis

I will only support this type of technology if every effort is first made to reduce and reuse and recycle to every extent possible. Incineration justifies clawbacks in recycling programs and such, which cannot and should not happen. Reduce to 80% first, then burn the rest :)

    Ontario renewables set to explode

This is wicked news. I give kudos to Dalton and George for their leadership on this... its a great move in the right direction.

    Toronto Toronto | West Block Est. 1928, The LakeShore, and The LakeFront | 130.75m | 41s | Choice Properties | a—A

Does anyone know what the activity at this site is for now? For the last week I have seen a variety of cars and trucks parked on the southwest side of the property. You can see a little bit under the garage and see men moving about... any idea what for?

    Ontario's Electrical Supply

Far from it. Many will argue, myself included, that nuclear fission is on the way out. While it may be a technology that has certain merits, I believe the financial aspect of nuclear power will be the reason for its downfall. Nuclear plants are simply too expensive... look at Ontario's...

    Miller wasting more money:

Much like al the other replies on this thread, I do not think this is a waste of money. In terms of fighting climate change... some people will tell you that cities is where the climate change battle will really be fought, and that cities are the leaders in reducing climate change, and not...
