I believe New Jersey Transit wants to do something like this with their new Multilevel IIIs.

Has that hydrogen fuel cell demo bus gone into service yet? It may be a good thing they only bought the one bus in case some flaw comes to light like with the Proterra buses.

LRT is a really broad term. The SRT was the original “light metro” and even it was sometimes called the LRT.

Late reply, but St Albert’s buses are made by Chinese firm BYD. They have an assembly facility in California and Ontario. Toronto’s BYD buses also had to be taken of the road for battery/mechanical work recently.

Hopefully Vancouver doesn’t plan to run a bus every 23 minutes.

According to an operator friend who has taken a look at one, they are nearly identical. He was a bit disappointed as there were things he would have liked to see changed. One difference I noted was they were delivered with solid red and blue seat moquette.

Other regions have managed to have a uniform fare structure between multiple agencies. There doesn’t seem to be any indication the Province is working to that.

The Province is really half-assing “integration” aren’t they.

Tri Rail bought their BiLevels new. But they used almost the same livery as GO Transit.

Oh I didn’t realize that was in the meeting. I wonder if that’s funding for the up to 100 buses for the future they want to purchase by 2027 mentioned here.

I’m thinking the funding has come through since they were able to award the contract to Nova Bus at the end of last year or earlier this year.

DRT also has 15 diesel and 6 electric buses on order.

Eglinton GO Station is slowly getting more complete. Noticed for their first time the platform lighting on today for part of the platform.
