You cannot propel anything using sound (waves) alone; sound is just a travelling wave and does not consistently move any air in a particular direction so emitting a sound wave does not generate thrust. Very likely. This might be everyone's third chance to catch it running. I'm planning on going...

Well, I haven't found anything on 200-214 yet. All there is, is just videos on the shipment to and from North Bay.

Don't the K5LA's exert more force? I saw a VIA at Bronte do a runby with the horn. I was in the parking lot, and it was really quiet. Besides, foamers make those "Loudest Sounds on Earth" memes, and 3rd Gen K5LLA is always at the top. I know GO dosen't use these, but they're both K5 horns.
  4. GOTransitFan206

Well, they also didn't like it because of the ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE K5CA-LS horn.

The right side window is taller. That was one thing why railfans don't like the CEM / Rotem cabs.

They look like the Gallery Cars.
  7. GOTransitFan206

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

Also, any updates on 200-214 yet?

Like the Hyundai Rotems? Railfans hate those. Especially Tri-Rail railfans. Or are they more shaped like the Bi-level?

I'm guessing Metra will be first.

So, I went to the Jays game (5-4 Tampa Bay), and when I passed Oakville Yard heading east, 2 inconspicuous GO coaches were the second and third last cars at the end of a grain train. I didn't know if they were coaches, cab cars, or both. Also, 201, 203, and 2 other units were at Willowbrook...

Well, has there been any sightings of them in Whitby yet? Just curious.
  12. GOTransitFan206

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

Maybe they were transfered to Whitby?

Solution A: Modify the bike coaches so one half is luggage racks and the other is bike racks. Solution B: Modify the B end of some coaches so that they are entirely luggage racks.
  14. GOTransitFan206

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

Luggage racks would be useful to have on the Bi-Levels.
  15. GOTransitFan206

Collision? Wouldn't fair so well, would it?

1 day isn't enough to test the cab controls, is it?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

Well, I went downtown today, and 200-214 were all facing west when I passed Willowbrook Yard. Another thing to note, cab car 317 had a small thing on the roof section to the right of the horn. 343 also had this. I think it may be an antenna, but it may also be a light, like on the Amtrak Siemens...

Anyways, we know it was paired up with 631 when it was in service for 2 days.

Oh, sorry. I didn't check the release date.
