Phase 1 and 2 are going to be built simultaneously. I suppose the sales office, which is under construction, is going to be for the later phases adjacent to Queen's Quay.

Construction is apparently set to begin in March.

i've always been a big fan of this project. i think it'll frame the south end of the district very well.

does anyone know if anything is going on with the large piece of land east of Bay Street and south of Wellesley? (where the blue hoarding is in this photo)

I don't buy the height argument. Constraints are good for architecture, it forces innovation.

Semantics aside, I think it's a terrific project and I have a lot of faith in aA and their ability to resolve the urban planning aspects of the project.

I really enjoy the morphology of this building: the podium creates a great street wall.

What does everyone else think of the glass + brick combination? Does this make it contextual? From some of those pictures, the tower looks to fit in quite well with the rest of the district.

Not bad, the interior looks more promising than the outside.

This project is getting a lot of unjustified criticism. The waterfront is going to remain very accessible to the public both physically and visually. At the same time it will be adding a substantial amount of greenspace to the city. And with respect to the comments about the lack of retail...
