Why not? Do you mean they'll use the storage track just east of Laird like they do at Glencairn on Line 1 for short turns?

From the Crosstown Interchange report for the TTC Board meeting: I wonder if this means that they'll now be able to keep the existing (45 year old) centre pocket track north of Eglinton Station on Line 1. It would be nice for operational flexibility.

Here's something I posted almost two years ago regarding my thoughts on the bus routes and Line 5. This was just after the TTC report (which included the map posted above) was released.

If you're talking about SOUTH of Sheppard West, it's where the ATC gets turned on (northbound) or where the ATC gets turned off and the operator takes full control (southbound). The trains stop momentarily both ways for the switch-over.
