    iLOFTS or FLATIRON LOFTS

cost of terrace or balcony I've tried to figure this out many times in the past. Like, if a unit is $400k with 1000sq ft and 200 outdoor terrace, how do you calculate how much is per sq ft for interior vs. exterior? a) (1000x$350)+(200x$250)=$400k? b) (1000x$375)+(200x$125)=$400k? I...

Leslieville Lofthouses (Urban Fabric Development) - Real Estate -

What I meant was that each new development seems to be unique but it will make the area a pretty neat "non-cookie-cutter" condo row...in my opinion. I don't have plans to leave the area anytime soon. I like it very much.

    iLOFTS or FLATIRON LOFTS

opinion For a small unit, it's pretty good. Shallow, but obviously will get lots of light regardless of the direction it faces. Terrace is a bit shallow on the wider side, but you get lots of it. Personally, I'm not sold on this area but if you are, it's a pretty good small unit. Did you...

Leslieville Lofthouses (Urban Fabric Development) - Real Estate -

Flatiron vs. Leslieville Yes, i do. I'm not sold on flatiron location of Carlaw and Dundas. Although the prices are slightly lower there and there will be a stretch of loft developments completed in the next 5 years, i don't see the neighborhood-like touch of Queen/Broadview. Yes, Q/B is a...

    Tannery Lofts: What's happening?

opinion I think the building and its features look decent enough and the layouts are fairly good for smaller units. I just don't see any upside in the neighborhood. There's no park closeby, no possibilities for a shop or two, no restaurants, etc. I wouldn't pay $400/sq ft for this location.

    Toronto Toronto | L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

I heard that each penthouse unit comes with a complimentary squeegee kid.

    New conversion projects?

Unfortunately, I don't much else. But I'm quite sure this is going to happen. I haven't heard or seen any pre-notices or email splashes. This makes me think it won't be for sale until after Christmas. If I hear of anything, I'll be sure to send an update.

    Clubland vs. Residential

Don't know when Twilight Zone first opened but it was there in 1985.

    Clubland vs. Residential

Sorry to confuse thoughts. I pose this: Agree or disagree that like the Richmond/Adelaide club district, College Street is also club district for an older generation.

    Building Delays

Hey Hydrogen, Sorry to hear your pain. I know how disheartening this must be. I think just about every new development is delayed. Just a matter of how much. In fact, I've never heard a story of a development that was completed on time! My story to share was with my first place at the...

    Clubland vs. Residential

Just wondering...what makes College street not qualify as a club district? Yes, the places are smaller and the soundsytems are a bit more tame. Other than that, calling Richmond/Adelaide a club district and disregarding College street as such is just age discrimination - agree or disagree?

    Worst names for condo project

Thanks for the explanation - I never understood this one and now I can also tell my friend who lives there why it is so named. Besides the bad condo names, I have to nominate a bad condo ad. It's a radio ad I hear every morning. A female narator questions the listener and tries to appeal to...

    Clubland vs. Residential

Agreed. Although the drugs were a bit much, to me Industry at the turn of the century was what Twilight Zone was in the 80's. I think Urban Shocker was right, it was called StiLife. Great joint and great design. A standout for it's time.

    Clubland vs. Residential

I remember the Hop very well. Great soundsystem for a mostly afterhours joint. Do you know what condo development is going up there? I'm very curious how they are advertising this site right in the middle of the district.

Edge Lofts Condos (Streetcar Development) - Real Estate -

That's pretty cheap at less than $100 per sq ft. I wonder if you can put up some drywall and make a bachelor suite out of it! I had a friend who lived in the CBC conversion building 90 Sumach. He bought a rooftop patio (which was disconnected from the actual suite) like the ones at Edge...

You're so right RJR123. And which one are you, good cop or bad cop?

Edge Lofts Condos (Streetcar Development) - Real Estate -

just wonderin'... for you buyers of edgelofts, did the builder mention any special attention to the sound insulation? just curious with all the glass if they did some kind of double insulation or anything like that to account for the dvp. and did any of you get one of the rooftop terraces...

    Clubland vs. Residential

True Dance Clubs There are hardly any true dance clubs in Toronto. And none of them are in the club district. Every so-called club in that area is an abberation of what a club should be. The music hardly varies from one venue to the next. Djs have no distinction. Soundsystems are moderate...

Toronto is 5th most liveable city in the world

I think they must factor in cost. I say this because I visited Copenhagen for awhile - it was long enough to get an idea of how it would be to live there and it is one of the most expensive cities by far. But other than that, I would consider it number one on the list. So I believe if they...

    New conversion projects?

possible conversion I've heard rumours of Harhay working on a conversion Queen St east of DVP. Not sure if that's true but it may be a few months before they go up for sale.
