CLAD THE UGLY CONCRETE ALREADY!! dark, white, gray metal panels would work anything but the current post war soviet union look. At the very least, change the window glass, play with it with color

Only 111 west 57th street can be considered pencil thin. Central park tower has very elegant proportions I think.

Then I might be slightly autistic ?

The hell are you whining for? This ain't the Mediterranean sea regardless of how beautiful (or not) the developments. I've lived in a hut near the Mediterranean coast, and it looked more romantic than Toronto or NY could ever be.

I don't have a problem with the actual color. It could perhaps be better but it's of little importance as compared to the quality of the design and material. The bird cage gray mullions encasing the plastic look bad. Imagine if the the mullions were glossy black or say shiny silver, ran in...

Something fishy is going on here...the orange section just doesn't add up with the rest, not that the rest is high end cladding but it's very much acceptable. Hell, had they just continued the black vertical stripes all around, this would have been great. Had they incorporated the same cladding...

If Frank Gehry saw this he would mistake it for one of his projects

No offense taken, though I admit I am reassessing my aesthetics sense here, considering how strong in numbers the down-vote team is :). The general architecture scene in Toronto has made me shift my taste, not necessarily down, but in a different realm, using a different measuring scale so to...

not sure why so much bitter discontent..Perhaps because of the very high expectations or the potential this tower had. It's faaaar from an eyesore and even fairly striking with its block texture and slim profile. I too find the color choice of the podium a little on the cheap side and sort of...

Are they gonna replace all the windows on the office towers or just the lower podium sections? If they do this corner would look absolutely brand new but even if they don't, still awesome :)

I never thought i could ever say this but the so called 'three ugly sisters' complement the glass cluster in a strangely pleasing way in the second last pic above.

The revision is ok i guess.. if they don't use cheap cladding, it will look OK. But the two original twin towers were more striking, more daring, more futuristic...This is just...classy?? Why was the original proposal changed, anybody know?

Pic taken from the Amsterdam bridge on the waterfront. Btw the bridge is supposed to commemorate the twinning of the two cities in 1974. Not sure what that means...
